"That would be nice..." Roslyn was caught off guard with his casual manner, after what she considered to be a precious moment. Instantly dark thoughts came to her head, filling it with regrets and doubts. Perhaps the kiss hadn't met anything to him...perhaps she'd only come off as desperate.
*Trying to push the thoughts from her mind, Roslyn stood before he could reply, and began to walk silently.*

::Oz quickly regained his cold steel reserve, again putting up his impenetrable walls which he had let slip for a few brief moments with Roslyn. He had to admit, it was fear that made him wish to end the night so suddenly, fear of showing her his weaker side a side which he had no desire to share::
::he could sense her disappointment and couldn't help but let a cruel smile twist on his lips in slight satisfaction::
"I'd be more than happy to accompany you home. Where do you live? Nearby?"

Roslyn was silent for awhile, debating within herself. *Turning slightly, she looked at him closely. Her eyes searching.* Again she was taken by surprise, with how quickly a mask had come over his face, shielding him from her. She couldn't see a trace of the man, she'd just seen a few moments ago.
The nagging doubts in her mind, slowly came to a sudden halt. It was confirmed in her mind. Their kiss had meant nothing...she meant nothing. *Turning back around, Roslyn cast her eyes down for a moment, then back up at the path ahead.* In that single moment, her own walls came back up just as strong as ever. A blank mask came over her face, though inside she felt...hurt.
"Actually, It's not far from here." *Remembering she still had his jacket draped over her shoulders, she paused.* "I'll be fine on my own." *Grasping his jacket loosely, she turned and held it out to Osmond.* "Thank you for lending me your jacket, Mr. Osmond."

::a wave of relief passed over him like a cool breeze as her non-chalant demeanor returned. Things were back to normal - stiff and tense::
"The pleasure was all mine."
::he replied flatly as he reached out for his jacket. He stopped momentarily and thought hard, he knew exactly why he was being difficult - fear. She made him happy and that frightened him. She was a threat to his ego, he knew this::
"Wait."
::he said with a sigh. He clutched his coat with one hand and pulled it toward him, and with his other hand he grabed hers, pulling her toward him::
"It shouldn't end this way. I'd like to see you again."

*Again she stared at him, with hardened eyes, that hid the flood of emotions running through her.* Weary, distrustful. Suddenly unsure of the man in front of her, who seemed to change up so quickly. She wondered what he was trying to do. If he simply thought of her as a tool to manipulate. Or If he was truly sincere. ' My intent isn't to hurt you. '
*His words echoed in the back of her mind, as her eyes slowly traveled from his to the hand that was holding hers, then back.* A part of her felt foolish, as if she should just forget about him, and walk away. But she didn't want it to be that simple. It couldn't be.. *Allowing herself to be pulled, Roslyn remained silent. Not knowing what to say, or how to voice her thoughts.*

::Oz frowned as he searched her face for a hint of an answer::
"Listen..."
::he began, mentally reprimanding himself for acting such a fool::
"I'm not good with...emotions."
::he hissed the last word::
"Which is why I work for the Department of Ministries - I study, I learn, I decipher, I analyze data, but I don't have to feel."
::her hand still in his, he brought it to his lips and kissed it gently::
"I'm not used to feeling this way, my head is in the clouds, I can't focus, I'm confused...I'm a right mess."

Merlin how she wanted to remain strong. To show that she was no push over, or some naive little girl who believed everything she heard. But as he spoke, she could hear the honesty in his voice. She could feel it in her heart, as he pressed his lips to her hand, that everything he said was true. Her walls remained, from fear alone of getting hurt. But she could feel them give way slightly yet again under the passion of his words.
"Well it's not your fault completely.." She found herself voicing, softly. "How can you express what you're unfamiliar with?"

::Oz let a small smile play on his lips at her words::
"Indeed, well said. I'd like to try though, if you'd let me."
::he said moving closer to her, he towered over her, but bending his knees slightly, he lowered his head so that his forehead was nearly touching hers::
"Let me take you out sometime."

"Where to?" Roslyn was admittedly curious as to the type of places Osmond liked to go.

"The Silver Serpent is a classly joint..."
::he said instantly without a second's thought, then quickly did a double-take. The Silver Serpent was a very private place only known to dark wizarding families, guarded by goblins and password protected. Oz didn't know Roslyn well enough to be taking her there just yet::
"But perhaps that isn't the place for you and I..."
::he thought hard, remembering she said she liked Hogsmede::
"Perhaps the Three Broomsticks?"

"I think we could be a little classier than that.." *Roslyn's eyes narrowed slightly, catching the look in his eyes.* She had no idea what the Silver Serpent was, but she wondered why he even bothered naming it if he didn't consider it a place for them. Better yet, why did he brush it off so quickly, without telling her the details.
Pushing away her suspicions for the moment, she thought of a place she would prefer. "Madame Rosemerta serves delightful tea. Perhaps there instead?"

::he couldn't help but let a tinge of amusement cross his face as her eyes narrowed at him slightly in suspicion, he felt compelled to explain the slip of his tongue, though thought better of it::
"Madame Rosemerta's, you say? Sounds lovely, I could always go for a nice cup of tea."
::he said moving toward the street::

*Allowing him to lead, Roslyn fell silent, lost to her thoughts.*
