Dante knows, and Severus. Nobody else.
*Clings to Bojan, tears falling freely from her eyes*
I was scared, my love, I was worried what you would think of me.

**furrows his brow in thought, not feeling like he could think any less of her about the actual event, just more upset that she did not tell him before**
Perhaps I vill haff a talk vith Severus about it. Perhaps ve can erase your memory of it, to ease your mind. You are still my Ophelia, I still love you.

*Bites her lip, not liking the idea of him trying to talk to Snape about anything... just in case*
No... I'm sure I'll get over it.
Dante keeps telling me I shouldn't let it bother me. He's killed before, Father has killed hundreds of people and never let it worry him. I just... I don't know. I can't explain it. I don't want to talk about it.
*Gives a small sniffle and whispers*
I love you, too.

I know, a stór, I know...
*Wipes all her tears away and looks up at him*
Yes... Make me forget about it. Make me forget everything.
*Kisses him, wanting a little comfort*

*Unable to sleep with the hot weather, Ophelia uses her wand to pull the curtains over all the windows and goes to check the post*
*Looks puzzled at the wedding invitation, but smiles when she opens it*
*Accios some parchment and writes a quick RSVP, confirming their attendance*
*Sends it with Bojan's owl, and goes to her desk to write some more owls to suppliers for her lingerie shop*

It was as if he had reverted back to that moment in his young childhood - the moment when he stood by his mother's dead body, that moment when it dawned on him that he would never see his mother ever again. Clutching the letter from his wife's father, this wrenching disbelief and numb feeling consumed him. He knew what it all meant, despite barely able to read right to the end of the letter. Over the last few months, his wife hadn't seemed the same to him - almost as if she slipped away from him bit by bit and it killed him that he was so helpless, or even useless. Useless because he couldn't shield her from the danger she was getting into, from the hurt that she had suffered. Why couldn't he have just tried that much harder? He could have saved her... Could have done more...
But now everything was ruined. He had built a new life here with her in Scotland, a new career at Hogwarts, new hopes for the family that he wanted and now it was again just a longing in his heart just as it was before he had met her. Severus. Severus. That man. He did something to his Ophelia, but could not tell what. He wasn't the type to exact revenge, but he had so many burning questions. What did that man do to his wife? What was she hiding? He knew that he had made his wife commit a murder. A murder that broke her heart and she was never the same woman again. Perhaps Severus had commended her - she found she had crossed the line and could not turn back, trapped in her very own conscience. And unfaithful? That was too much to bear - it couldn't be true. Not his Ophelia!
With his face buried in his shaking hands he let the tears flow. There was no one here to see him, and even if there was he probably would not care. All the immediate questions and speculations in his head all came back to one overriding thing: he'd lost the love of his life and did not know what to do.
