*My life couldn't be more perfect than it is right at this moment, Zero thought to himself as he released a contented sigh. The wizard was perched comfortably upon one of the village's benches of wrought iron, and watched the passersby. It was obvious that some had spent their day mindlessly shopping, and others appeared to be up to no good, but Zero's mind didn't really take in much of the goings on around him. He was too busy fantasising about his boyfriend. As usual.*
*His lips curled up into a love sick grin, and his bright green eyes passed critically over the few couples holding hands that passed him by. As far as he was concerned, himself and Sebastian were obviously the far superior couple to any that he spotted this day. None of them were as striking as he and his boyfriend, and it also appeared that none of the couples he noticed had an ounce of brains between them both. The witches spent their time with their lovers either nagging and whining, or begging and pleading for Merlin only knows what. All of it was nauseating to watch.*
*Absently, the wizard stretched his long, lean frame out to dip his hand quickly into the pocket of his silken trousers and retrieved his favoured worn galleon to wind around each of his fingers as his upper lip curled up in disgust at the new passing couple. Though they couldn't be much older than Hogwarts age, Zero easily saw how enamoured they were with each other, and another sigh slipped from between his tightening lips. While, it hadn't been more than a few measly hours since he last laid his green eyes on his beloved angel, he still missed the wizard terribly, and wished for the warmth he always felt at his side whenever the man was near.*
*With a click of his tongue, Zero rose from the bench, and decided it would be better to take a turn around the village instead of continuously comparing himself and Sebastian to all the other couples he saw. A walk would hopefully distract him somewhat.*

*Having finally left her house, Venus decided to take a stroll along the one place she thought she wouldn't run into someone she knew. She had never spent much time around hogsmeade so it wasn't likely she would have to talk to anyone that day, unless she stopped into one of the shops to buy something. With her hair back to its dark brown and pulled back in a neat bun she set off from the ally way she had apperated into and started to take her stroll.*
*She had no idea what she was to do that day, would she stop by her old friends house...just to pay a visit and remember why she did her job? Or would she buy herself something nice. The only nice things she had were still at Zero's, save the cloak that she always wore with the clasp that matched the green in his eyes. How she missed those eyes...but Today was not a day for crying. No, no...she had done enough of that the past months.*
*She pulled her cloak tight about her, though it was not a chilly day. Her hood, covered her face in shadow. Strolling past the shops she stopped in front of one that sold quills, thinking that she may treat herself to a new one.*

*Bernard was in a terrible temper. He had just been to Hogwarts to have a terrible row with one of the professors over some idiot book they had put down on students' required book lists this year. The Invisible Book Of Invisibility? Merlin's pants... it had been an utter fiasco the last time around, and this time he was determined not to live through the mayhem again. He was to this day tripping over tiny invisible piles of the books in what he HAD thought were empty parts of the stock room.*
*Muttering, he slouched his way through Hogsmeade, curling his lip at the lovey dovey couples. It was SO disgusting. It was summer that did it, he was positive. Good weather brought out all the cheerful, happy, disgusting people and made them pollute nice, quiet days with their sickening romances*
*He paused to look at a young man with delicate features who was smiling soppily at the young love all around them. He shaked his head sadly, feeling compelled to speak to the young man and advise him of his folly.*
"You know, I really hate to make broad, sweeping generalisations about a whole group of people... but women have no feelings. She's just looking at him like that because he's going to buy her a pair of shoes."

*As he strolled, his coin passed between each finger, and his eyes grazed over the scenery, taking in the sights of the early spring evening. Just when he thought he was finished with taking notice of couples, another, these two obviously having been struck by Cupid's arrow, were nearing. By the looks of it the pair had been struck deeply, not once looking away from each other. Zero's nose crinkled up as he paused, regarding the way in which the young witch peered up into her paramour's face. It truly was disgusting, but he really shouldn't be so condemning for he too has looked at his love with the same silly expression.*
*Shaking his head, he turned away from the couple sharply only to be taken by surprise. A wizard somehow had crept upon him, and without any prompting began speaking.*
*Eyes the man coldly, wondering what could have drawn him in only to turn his eyes back to the couple as soon as the wizard spoke of them.*
Mmm... Yes, she may be. But, he is the fool for actually parting with the gold for such an expression. Only the face of an angel could part me from mine.
*Which was highly likely to happen to him. If there was any wish Sebastian had, Zero would shell out every gold coin he had to his name to purchase his lover's desires.*
*Turning his eyes back to the wizard a shadowy figure passing in his peripherals caught his attention. His bright green orbs move from wizard to land on...Venus?*
*Eyes widen momentarily, followed by a groan of disappointment, and his proud standing frame begins to shrink. Trying to hide himself out in the open from the witch. The last person he needed to see. Ever.*

*Returns the boy's cold gaze with the sort of disenchanted, bitter gaze that only a far older man can achieve*
Oh. You're one of them...
*Sneers*
You young people. All good looking and cool and in love. Makes me sick!
*Gets quite vocal for no reason other than his resentment of young people and their loved ones*
You're totally unbearable! Two young, fit, healthy, attractive people in love? There's nothing worse to look at in the world!
*Harrumphs and stomps off, disapparating once he's outside the village*

*Venus passed by as if she had not a care in the world, for today she didn't. She hadn't been back to work in months and she didn't care. In fact she couldn't care less if the place had been taken over by death eaters. She tapped her fingers on the glass looking at a lovely quill with a green feather, sighing as she looked at the others in the display case, totally unaware of who was behind her.*
If only they weren't all so lovely...
*She whispered aloud to herself.*

*Eyes flick between the old wizard in front of him, and his ex-fiancee peering into a shop window just over the old man's shoulder as he takes a few steps back. He really, REALLY wants to get away from Hogsmeade as quickly as possible.*
I don't believe I have the slightest inking as to what you are speaking of.
*Narrows his eyes, ice filling his smooth voice. Who was this bloke to insult him and his boyfriend? It wasn't any of his business if they were in love or not. Unthinkingly, his tone raises as he drags his bright green orbs over the beastly looking man.*
You're mistaken about that, mate. Looking at love isn't unbearable. It's looking into the face of an old, wrinkled man that has never had the privilege of having the love of fine witch...or wizard pressed against him, or in any other fashion at all. *Sneeks a quick peek at Venus, voice lowering so as not to draw her attention before he smirks to the wizard, and holds his chin high, proudly.*
You're attitude tells me your pan handle is a bit rusty, old chap. Perhaps a nice polishing would change your outlook on matters of love.

*Venus' ears twitch, thinking she hears a famillier voice. She curses softly to herself and turns slightly, keeping her hood up and just taking a quick peek. Her jaw drops when her eyes sweep over the one man she wasn't in the mood to see. Her hands drop to her sides and stares in awe at him. Her heart began to beat quickly, trying to turn away before he caught sight of her but she could not.*

*Every muscle in Zero's body froze. She caught him. Venus noticed him. Oh, bloody Hell..., the thought, groaning inaudibly.*
*Not waiting for a response from the wizard, Zero offered a tight lipped grin, and began to retreat in the direction away from both witch and wizard.*
Excuse me... I've...I've...
*His eyes fixed once again on Venus, and a soft breeze picked up, wisps of his black, silky hair blowing into his eyes, and strangely, he froze on the spot again. Disapparation was impossible as his mind stopped functioning, he didn't have the faintest idea of what he was doing. All he knew was that he didn't want to be here, and he didn't want to get hexed.*

*Venus found some strength in her legs and made them move towards the old man and her ex fiance. Still shaking a bit she brushed past the old man and sttod a few feet from Zero. Not waiting for him to speak first she spoke up, her voice shaking as well as her body.*
We both knew this day would come...
*Her hands were inside her cloak, one gripping her wand not sure of what would happen, but wanting to be prepared.*

*His eyes widen in horror as Venus began to walk toward him, and his muscle scream in protest as he remained put while they tried to carry him off.*
*Swallows hard, blinking before flashing flawless smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.*
Indeed. It was inevitable.
*The coin passing around his fingers begins to pick up pace as his anxiety grows. He allows himself to take in her appearance, and he inwardly shakes his head. She really looked miserable, and it was all his fault.*
*Guiltily he offered.*
You...You look...well.

*She clenches her hands, offering a forced smile. They both know she looked miserable, but it was at least kind of him to say otherwise. She shakes her head, thinking nothing of the comment.*
Of course, How else would I look after...
*Venus bites her tongue, her legs shaking beneath her again just like they had on that fateful day. her hand gripped her wand tighter.*
Y..you look good Zero.
*she said it even though she had other things she wanted to say to him.*

*The moment she reminded him -as if it wasn't already at the front of his mind- of their wedding day pain flashes in his eyes, and his body sags slightly, guilt seeping into every cell in his body.*
*Doesn't attempt to even try to reply to her first comment that she cut short, but does nod lightly in response to her compliment.*
Thanks.
*Has the feeling she would like to say more, and is thankful she didn't continue.*
Well...it- it was certainly lovely to see you again, Venus.
*Manages to pry his dragonhide covered feet from the cobbles beneath them, and he slowly begins to retreat, thanking Fate that it didn't seem Venus wished to hurt him.*
Perhaps we can...if I find the time someday...catch up. It would be lovely-
*Coin laden hand dips into the pocket of his fine silk suit jacket, and remains there.*
*Hollow.*
-if we could chat.

*Venus watched as he turned to leave, slightly angry that he couldn't even hold a conversation with her and just wanted to leave. She spat angrily on the ground and pushed past him.*
Yes, go back to your precious Sebastian...
*She turned back to look at him for a moment, eyes full of hate and sadness for a brief moment.*
You know...If you didn't want to talk to me you could have just walked away.

*Eyes narrow as she pushes him aside, and bringing up Sebastian was just uncalled for. She had no right to even utter his lover's name. A second ago he felt horrible for the witch, now that she had to bring the reason their wedding didn't happen up, he was quickly growing angry.*
As I did before?
*Any warmth his expression may have held was nonexistent now.*
Yes, I agree. Sebastian's side is exactly where I belong.
*Sneers.*
You should be thanking him, you know. He's the reason it happened sooner, rather than later.
