*takes a step back, shocked at the boy's insult*
*she prided herself in reading many types of books and being open to many different points of view. Being from a muggle background, she rather thought she could see both sides of the story*
Narrow minded?
*grimaces as she repeats the insult*
I don't really think that's fair. You hardly know me.
*turns to the girl*
You didn't hurt yourself falling, did you?

*She narrows her eyes at the girl.*
No...Why do you ask?

Francis was a little surprised the Rose girl could actually see his point of view. That was a seriously rare occurrance. He looked at her for a moment, trying to ascertain if she was serious or just taking the mickey. "Muggle London is awesome," he said. He loved the hustle and bustle of the city; cars and trains and busses buzzing around all over the place, presided over by large lit up signs. He loved the muggle world. He was sure he'd love the magical world much much more if it wasn't so dismissive of muggles.
After managing to get over the shock of someone else seeing the good in the muggle world, Francis looked back at the younger girl. "Yeah, well I know enough from what you just said. You think just because you have a wand that makes you so much better and that's just complete bullsh... that's just ignorant. I can do things with my hands and my knowledge that you could never do with your wand."

*frowns slightly, not liking all of the hostility in the room*
*to Rose*
Just making sure you were okay....
*her voice trails off and she turns her wand over in her hands a few times*
*thinks for a moment before responding*
I haven't said it makes me better. All that I am saying is that this wand makes most muggle appliances unnecessary. I don't deny that there are a great many things that the wizarding world can learn from them. It is fantastic what they have learned to do without magic.
However, impressive though their attempts may be, I'm proud of my abilities and intend to use them alongside any other knowledge that I might gain.

*Rose frowns*
I've been witness to things many would be afraid of. My father and brother were killed be a vampire passing in the night. Sometimes I feel happy that I'm a metamorphmagus and can blend in anywhere. The same one found me in the woods last year. And with everything going on, I'd rather be a muggle any day...

"They?" Francis said scornfully. "You talk about muggles as though there another species. They're us, we're them. We're all humans, yet you talk about learning from them as though they're bloody specimins in a zoo." He gave her a disgusted look.
"I'm outta here," he growled. "I'm going to play with my muggle contraptions," he said, shooting a cold glare at Isabelle. He turned back towards the door, pausing a moment to glance at Rose again, wondering if she could tell he was a little impressed by her attitude, before stalking out and heading back down the stairs from the owlery. He needed a cigarette before he lost his temper completely.

*throws her hands up in frustration wondering why these two don't just deny their abilities altogether and live as ignorant muggles*
*takes a deep breath before responding*
I'm sorry to hear that you've seen such awful things... that really must have been hard. But, evil exists even in the muggle world. I think we just have to deal with it the best we can....
*decides maybe a change in subject is in order*
Did you say that you are a metamorphmagus?

*rolls her eyes as the moody boy escapes*
*makes a mental note to avoid him in the future*

*Rose nodded, giving a small smile as Francis headed away.*
My hairs been changing colors the entire time we've been standing here...It happens when my emotions change, at least most of the time.
*She fidgeted a little wanting to go after him and talk to him, but stayed where she was for a moment, hoping to find him later.*

*smiles brightly*
It has been! I thought the light was just playing tricks on my eyes. That's brilliant!
*is excited to meet someone with such a rare gift*
That's a really rare skill. How wonderful!
*starts to shiver in the cold*
I think maybe I'll head back to the common room to warm up.
It was nice to finally meet you. I hope you don't think me narrow minded or anything.
*nods in the direction that Francis walked in*
I really have nothing against muggles whatsoever. Both of my parents are muggles and I love them dearly.

*Rose nods and smiles*
A pleasure to meet you as well..and no not at all. Have a wonderful day.
*She takes a small jar out of her poctet, darws her wand, and mutters a spell watching the fire appear in the jar. Closing the lid, she puts her wand away and walks off in the direction of the boy.*
Perhaps I'll see you in the common room!
