*Pleasantly surprised he'd happened to have settled in the very same place as she did, Roslyn's smile widened*
"Really? So did I! I actually don't live far from here, 'tis why I go to the shops so often."
*Crossing her legs at the ankles, Roslyn leaned back in her chair, placeing her hands on her lap*
"So how have you been since leaving behind our school days? What have you been up to?"
*Curious about the older Ravenclaw, Roslyn wait patiently for his answer*

"Mostly playing Quidditch professionally since my Hogwarts days, since I was captain of the team" he said rather proudly.
"I typically play for the reserve team of the Montrose Magpies, but occasionally I do play for the actual team." he said trying to impress her.
"But what have you been up to after Hogwarts?"

*Nodding along with his description of his job, Roslyn offered a warm smile as their butterbeers arrived. Waiting until they were alone once more before speaking*
"I work at Flourish and Blotts. Though I've been hopeing for a better job, not that there's anything wrong with it. Just want more for myself, you know?"
*Sipping her butterbeer, Roslyn took a moment to enjoy the sweet warmth, humming contentedly before swallowing*
"It's great you're doing something you love. I'm happy for you." -Genuine about that, Roslyn smiled*

"Thanks" he said as he smiled back.
"But what is it like working at Flourish and Blotts? What is it that you do there? What would you like to do if you left?"
Figures he bombarded her with enough questions and patiently waits for a response.

"You know you wouldn't be the first to ask me what it's like, but I still don't know how to answer." *Laughing a bit, Roslyn shrugged*
"For me it's okay. I spent most of my time in the library at Hogwarts anyway, so I suppose it's sort of like that. I just stack the books, nothing special. Though the benifits are that if I'm ever in the mood for a good read I don't have to go far."
*Thinking a bit on the answer to his last question, Roslyn hmmed thoughtfully* "Originally I had planned to become a professor at Hogwarts after school. But that was ages ago long before... everything." *Assumeing he knew what she meant at far as the times they lived in now, Roslyn continued*
"Now I'm not so sure. Who knows maybe I could still have a chance at playing Quidditch for a living." *Grinning Roslyn nudged him lightly, out of good fun*

Roger knew what she meant by "before everything". He thought about that statement for a few moments, not knowing what to say or if he should say anything at all.
What were you going to teach at Hogwarts if I might ask? I have a friend that took over Transfiguration when McGonagall became the Headmistress, although I don't think she likes it very much.
However it was her interest in Quidditch (and especially her playful nudge) that got his attention.
"Did you play for the house team at Hogwarts?" he asked, he knew she didn't play or even if she tried out for the team while he was captain.
"Some teams do hold open tryouts from time to time. Have you ever thought about it?" he asked.

"I've always been interested in Defence against the dark arts, or maybe even charms. I just thought they were both very useful to teach to the younger generation."
*Reaching to sip her butterbeer again, Roslyn shook her head*
"Quidditch was just a hobby. I was more of the bookworm type, though yes I do love the sport. I never actually tried out for a team, so I wouldn't even know if I were any good or not."
*Shaking her head at the fact that he took her teasing seriously, Roslyn quickly tried to clear it up*
"I couldn't possibly play professionally."

"Well there are other careers in Quidditch other than playing" he said, rather embarrassed he took her teasing seriously. "You could always write about Quidditich or work for a team as a support staff member. It takes more than just the players to make a team run. There are also lots of books wrote about Quidditich, from history to biographies. Maybe someday you can write my biography" he said as he laughed lightly.

*Listening to him list all the possibilities of her involvement in Quidditch, Roslyn sat patiently a small smile on her face. Roger Davies had to be the most passionate person she knew when it came to Quidditch, aside from Oliver Wood. Not that she knew him well either, but everyone knew of the former Gryffindors obsession with the sport. Aside from that, well it was always nice to hear another person talk about something they loved so much*
*Taking a moment to let his words sink in, Roslyn decided to do something she didn't normally do. After all life was short; Roger seemed a nice enough guy, and he was quite handsome. So what harm could a bit of flirting do?*
"Perhaps I could write your biography. Or you could even write mine, though I think yours would be much more interesting."
*Going for a subtle approach, Roslyn allowed her eyes to take on a playful edge; more than just friendly teasing at this point, but not embaressingly obviouse as she leaned in slightly to rest her chin on her hand, whilst keeping her eyes locked on Rogers*

Roger simply gazed into her bright blue eyes as she leaned in and admired the beauty of her face before he spoke. "Well, maybe we can write each other's biographies" as he smiled at her. He was somewhat surprised at her subtle flirting; she always came across as rather cold and uninterested toward him in the past, remembering that one day long ago he had to struggle to get her to talk to him. "But if we do write about each other, we'll have to get to know each other better, wouldn't we?" he asked, trying not to come on too strong.

Before Roslyn got too ahead of herself, she wanted to be sure her flirting was wanted. Honestly she was only looking for temporary company, and a bit of fun; though it would've been extremly embaressing ti be denied she would never force her company on anyone. But Rogers smile was definately a good sign that he was fine with wherever he thought this was going.
*Feeling a bubble of excitement at his returned gesture, Roslyns brow raised slightly*
"Precisely what I was thinking."
*Pausing for a moment, Roslyn sobered up a bit to be clear with Roger. Not wishing to lead him on a false understanding, though she had a feeling he wa after the same thing she was after*
"Listen Roger, I know this might seem out of the blue. Possibly even a bit weird,"
*Laughing a bit, Roslyn shrugged*
"You and I have never been well aquainted. But honestly I'm not looking for any commitment. Just a bit of company for now... Somethig we could both benifit from."
*Not too worried about the boldness of her statement she continued*
"Im not usually the type to do this. But in todays times sometimes a girl only wants a brief time to forget about everything else, you know?"

Roger smiled at what Roslyn said about getting better aquainted and the way she raised her brow. However he was quite surprised at what she said next about commitment. He figured it was no secret among the Ravenclaw girls that he wasn't the one to form deep emotional realtionships, but her boldness caught him off guard a little.
After he regained his compsure he asked, "What did you have in mind?"

*Her voice slipped to a soft pur*
"It shouldn't be too hard to tell."
*Smiling a bit more, Roslyn secretly hoped she wouldn't have to say it outloud, the faintest blush upon her cheeks as she kept her gaze locked on his*
"It's something of two people getting physically aquainted. Unless it really is my biography you're after?"

Roger smiled a bit more as she confirmed his thoughts, and slid his chair to be closer to her. "Well that is very tempting" he said quietly, in order to match the tone of her voice, which sent his heart racing.

"Isn't it?"
*Leaning in close enough to where she could feel the warmth radiateing from Roger*
"Whats not to be desired about something we would both enjoy... " *She allowed her lips to brush his slightly, her breath ghosting across his lips* "very much. The choice is yours.."
