*Cast eyes downward*
Oh, alright...
*snaps head up when he talks about her being hunted*
No! No, I uh, I'm not, just... better safe than sorry, right?
*smiles unconvincingly*

*Sighs and looks back into the class room. Notices that Michelle isn't there*
*Eyes go wide as she begins to freak out again*
No, sorry professor, I know it's bad, but- but I've got to do somthing!
*Runs down the halls, looking through every doorway for Michelle*

*decides to delay class a bit longer, returning to his desk*

As her classmates ran around in some wild search for Michelle, Priscilla still sat by her desk, hes back straight and her eyes glittering and clam as the wicked smile on her face. Her hair now moving, beyond any doubt, slithering around her figure, the chaotic aura blasting off her getting stronger.

*looking at Miss Chimaera*
I have excuse the rest of the class for a personal day. You may leave as well and we will pick up class tomorrow. Or, you could go over your project topic with me and I will offer all the assistance I can within this hour.

Priscilla beamed at Giles and came to sit with him. She looked strangely healthy all of a sudden, her usually greyish skin had an unusual glow to it, as if someone had recharged her or something.
"Well, sir, I have been thinking a lot and I've decided to do some more research on the metahysical properties of crystals and their magical benefits in use agains the Dark Arts and ritualization, and the different techniques of the latter."

*smiles, stuffing some papers into his desk*
Very promising. What have you come across so far...have you stumbled on any possible...well, hypothesis?

"Well, so far, I've discovered that Amethysts are very potent for any form of higher magic, while clear crystal quarts have the unique ability to be a bit of an all-around stone, and a major potential for healing magic. Onyxes and obsidians are very useful for banishing work, but also is also known to be favoured by dark wizards for the containment of dark magic. Moonstone is excellent for herbology, as it is know to have growth-increasing properties, whilst citrine is often used for cheering-charms, as a cheering-charged cirtine has proved invaluable in encounters with dementors, stopping some of the drainage of happiness that they cause, but also by infusing happiness within the carrier. However, the ritual to make such a stone is very complex and very few are known to be good at it. I believe the Ministry are in possession of one such witch, and there's another, rather famous amongst crystal workers, in Manchester. Strangely enough, it seems that witches tackle this particular ritual better than wizards. I have not yet managed to find the reason for this, but I'm working on it.
I've been thinking about using a title like "Crystals - an underrated asset in the world of magic?" or something like that, as the use of crystals isn't a very common practice, but actually a quite useful one."
She looked at the professor with anticipation.

My, my, you haven't had any trouble researching at all.
Again, if I may, Miss Chimaera you have a gift, and I do not believe it is simply in extreme dedication to your studies, though that clearly shows.
*quite amazed that she had gone so in depth*
Let me simply say, I doubt the same caliber of work from the rest of the class.

"As I've said earlier, sir, I intend to do make my greatest efforts to be amongst the top-scoring graduates this year," she said, and she seemed very re-assured that she would. And then her expression changed a bit, and she almost looked vulnerable, something quite out of character and certainly a side of her no one at Hogwarts were likely to have seen before (if it really was genuine, that is).
"But I feel, sir, that... I don't know. I feel like I don't belong. Everyone else seems to be so ignorant and oblivious of the value this education will bring us. The depth of it's importance to us as witches and wizards who are about to enter the world out there. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who really... sees things, you know? As if their sight is somehow clouded and I can see what they cannot? It probably just sounds like nonsense to you, I suppose...." Her voice trailed off, and she looked at the floor.

*sighs and stands up, beginning to tour his shelves*
The wizarding world has schism'd of late. About twenty years ago it must have been, when the Dark Lord first arose. Attendance at Hogwarts has never been the same. It is because reality and the cruelness of the world touches on you children, on us all, far earlier than ever before.
*turns back to her*
Many cannot bring themselves to study away their days if they are to die before thirty. Education is an investment, and just as there are those without the money to invest, there are those without the stability in their lives to pursue an education.
*chuckles* Now I am rambling.
*back to his shelves, touching the spines with a finger* It does not help that the wizarding education is too much theory and not enough practice.
*smiles* But you knew that.

"Yes, sir... So, I'm not abnormal for being more interested in studying, than chatting about boys and nail polish, then...?" Her head hung low and her eyes were still pinned to the floor.

*large chuchkle*
Oh course not.
*He then takes a rather large book off the shelf, opens it to reveal it is actually hollow, and pulls out a set of chocolate coins, knuts and large galleons.*
Chocolate?

Pris slowly lifted her head and looked at the box and then the professor with a hint of uncertainty, and then she gave small nod.
"Thank you, sir," she said, with a small lopsided smile, and it was rather plain that it wasn't merely the chocolate she was referring to.
