It's 2 years since the trio and their schoolmates left Hogwarts and strangely, things have been very quiet with no obvious sign of Voldemort anywhere. However, little hints here and there suggest some Dark Magic is lurking and terrorizing the Wizarding World still. Tension is building and nerves are on edge.
The elusiveness of a rather more introverted Harry Potter, who is now 19, has led some to believe he has gone on the run and his frustrated friends are finding it increasingly difficult to get any information from him. There are rumours he has given up the fight in order to search for his god-father, Sirius Black, after repeatedly seeing him alive in his dreams.
Meanwhile, Malfoy Manor is being used as a base HQ for Death Eaters to meet and discuss their plans, and plot against the capture of Potter and his Muggle-loving friends.
Lord Voldemort is still on a recruiting campaign for fresh young Dark Wizards to make the the transition into Death-Eaterhood and do his bidding. Not only that, but Voldemort is unleashing unheard of evils unbeknownst to the rest of the Wizard World, and in some cases, even his own followers.
Severus Snape is currently aiding both sides, his loyalty is torn between Dumbledore and Harry which is shrouded by doubt and bitterness and his duty to his love of his own DE circle - a place in a society that nurtures his passion for the Dark Arts. The Malfoys are as ambitious as ever and thriving on an ever increasing powertrip. Lucius has been promoted even higher within the Ministry and has set his sights on becoming the Minister of Magic, aided by his control over the media and his financial influences.
Draco was reprimanded by the Death Eaters for failing his task years ago but he has managed more successful tasks since and redeemed himself in the eyes of Lord Voldemort. He is currently trying to tame his very own dragon (with the help of original character 'Bojan Vladislav') which lives in the manor gardens, with the intention of using her as a weapon against those who get in his way to becoming a Superior (highest ranking Death Eater) and glory.
In this world, no one is safe. The streets are often empty and the nights have a dense darkness never felt before. Students are dropping out of Hogwarts and being taught at home. There are the few brave who remain to learn. But how long will the exhausted McGonagall stay as Headmistress? Will the Malfoys be successful in their plans? Will a new darkness rise and rule over the Wizarding World or can the Order get more recruits and act before it is all too late?
