Leaky Trading
Because of the need for an easily accessible place for their black market, the DE have imperiused the proprietor of the Leaky Cauldron (Tom) and are now using the venue as a place for trading illegal goods. They have ulterior motives as well, as they are in search of certain specific items by request of the Dark Lord (ie. The Elder Wand, among other valuable and powerful objects).
A certain few "trustworthy" employees have been put in place to serve all customers with drinks that have been infused with forgetfulness potion. Therefore making sure that all punters who happen to witness any illegal happenings will not remember what they've seen once they leave the premises. All those involved in the trading have been informed as to exactly who to approach and what the "password phrase" is. A special room in the back has been opened for the actual dealing, where a Death Eater in charge takes care of business. The goods being traded range from Class A Non-Transferable Goods, such as unicorn blood and dragon horns, to illegal potions and Dark objects. The trading of classified information for money is also a possibility.
The DE has also decided to use a secret concoction (using veritaserum) on drinks served to known Aurors and Ministry workers who happen to frequent the pub in order to pry honest information out of them without them knowing.
Possible characters involved:
Elvira Bates - Newly hired barmaid completely informed of the situation. She will be in charge of serving the "special drinks" to those she deems necessary.
Jack Wimel - Ministry worker in charge of investigating the possible illegal trading of controlled goods.
Ivy Greyback - Illegal goods trader/supplier
Augustus Rookwood - Death Eater in charge of all trading.
Seraphina Bloodworth - Owner of Mirage Apothecary and pupil to Augustus Rookwood. Supplier of potions.
Bojan Vladislav - Working with Jack Wimel in the ongoing investigation
Rita Skeeter - Nosy journalist who decides to "sniff" around after having heard rumours of people leaving the pub feeling confused and disoriented.
Barty Crouch Jr. - Death Eater working alongside Rookwood
Characters needed:
Tom - Owner of the pub who has been imperiused by the DE. Account is unclaimed and open to anyone who is interested.
Aurors/Ministry workers/Order members - To come in and have a drink every so often, feeding the storyline and letting the bad guys try and get information out of them.
Good side characters (not working for the Ministry) - Perhaps members of Dumbledore's Army. We would also like to see the trio take part in this. Perhaps Hermione can suspect something is going on and they can have their own little investigation on the side. Maybe eventually figuring it out and alerting the Order.
Death Eaters/Illegal traders - To come in and do business.

This is intended to be an ongoing storyline, you are welcome to take part in it if you choose. Just remember what's going on around you when you do visit the pub and act accordingly.
As the storyline moves along and more people join in, we may add more to it. Or people may be given special tasks.
The characters named above do not "have" to play along if they don't want to. Just let us know here and we will find a replacement.
Some of you may need to get in touch with each other to set up your story lines. We'd really like to see it take off.

Being the owner of an apothecary myself might help with moving and supplying some *shifty* items/potions
