*Hermione quickly packs her small beaded bag with everything they could possibly need - neatly stacked (separated by spells, hexes, healing and reference; and further organised in alphabetical order) books; spare clothes, socks and underwear for herself, Harry and Ron; Muggle and wizarding money; a torch and batteries in case she couldn't use her wand for whatever reason; tinned food; the tent they had borrowed for the Quidditch World Cup; essence of Dittany and other essential potions, and finally, the copy of Tales of Beadle The Bard that Dumbledore had left her when he died*

*Stands up and puts her hands on her hips, glancing around the room to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything*

*Nods, satisfied, as soon as she finishes a mental checklist in her head to ensure that she really hasn't forgotten anything*

*Clutches the bag tightly in her hand and walks out of the room she shared with Ginny Weasley, half afraid and more than a little worried that it could well be the last time she saw her friend*

A trial requires you to post as the character for a few days in a thread/plot of our choosing, at the end of which we will assess the situation and discuss further with you about the possibility of continuing. Hope that's alright.

Hermione sat in her house her windows and doors locked. She was about to have a nervous breakdown from the stress of what she had done. At every noise she jumped thinking it was Aurors breaking down her door. She had been tricked into hiding death eaters whom she thought had changed. Just an hour ago Draco Malfoy had left the house with a loud noise. He had appeared on her door step last night. He seemed as he had been hurt and was terrified. He had told her Voldermort was going to kill him and asked if he could stay here. She had taken pity and forgotten all the rotten things he had done. She had believed he had changed. Sadly this was a great downfall for her.

They had talked for hours upon hours about everything. Draco had even apologized for all he'd done wishing that he had never when the way his father did. She had smiled many times very glad he had seemed to have changed and felt remorse going to Voldemort.

Then at 5 in the morning he told her something she wished she had never heard. In three weeks time Voldemort was going to kill Ron Weasley in hopes of luring Harry closer. Draco seemed extremely upset about this but Hermione couldn't help see a thing of gleam in his eyes. They continued talking about the Order and of the Ministry. It was so easy talking to him. Then he had told her that she was the downfall of Harry. He had tricked her into giving information on the Ministry, the Order, and Harry Potter.

She couldn't believe it. She could have sworn he had changed. She had the problem of seeing the best in others even when the circumstances were quite low. Sadly she had just talked to Ron and Harry two days before. They were now elite Aurors as was she. She knew no one would believe her that she had been tricked. Now ever since the dementors fled to join Voldemort, Aurors now guarded Azkaban, the Aurors didn't care what the story was. If they found any trace of Voldemort support you were chucked in Azkaban.

She wondered what Harry and Ron would think of her now... Harboring a Death Eater, leaking information about the Ministry, the Order and Harry, all were traitorous. Even if she had been duped into thinking his innocence it still sounded stupid to believe that he changed and that her actions was his fault.

Hermione sighed pacing the floor again. She could run for it, but that would make others who might just believe her suspicious. She didn't want to bear to see the faces of the people she knew who were Aurors and part of the Ministry look at her with scorn and distaste.

May I suggest you consider one of the others.
I'm looking through the list now to see what characters are of similar age to Hermione and could have a similar role.

Um so I've never rped in your style, and I might need a little help working it out but I will get there I hope! This sample will be in para though, because it's what I'm used to, I hope that's ok. Does Snape need a trial by the way?

Severus slowly, deliberately paced along the walls of his office, dark greasy hair hung low, hiding his drawn brows and brooding expression. Had he had an audience to his night time activity they would think him deep in thought, though he highly doubted they would realise the source of his distress.

Dumbledore seemed to think it should be easy for him... "Help Harry Severus, he is the only one who can end it, you know this." And he did, he understood the whys, and the who's. It was the how's he was struggling with.

He bent low, picked up the dark, almost black wand that Dumbledore had left him. He could feel the power within it and truthfully, he disliked being so close to it. This wand did not belong to him, he was merely protecting it until he could hand it to Potter.

He sighed, cast an enchantment with his own wand and the elder wand was once more hidden from all who sort after it.

Slowly, he took all memories of it, from his mind and placed them in a vile which he also enchanted, he was taking no chances of discovery. He could not fail in his mission, if he did it was not simply he who would pay the price.

(hope this is decent? Oh and I will endeavor to use the style of posting I have seen used here in my snooping about. I may need a little guidance at first, I hope you have the patience for me!)

I think we will need to see a bit more before we hand over Snape, considering that he is one of the mainest main characters.

I think you have already, but have a look at the way Snape writes.

I think your writing is good enough, the only concern is whether you can get the character himself right. Snape is a difficult one. If you've read the books I'm sure you'll understand what I mean.

I think what would be best is if we try a practice RP.

Don't worry too much about the style of RP. We're quite open, but it would be good if you try to use the House style.

Hi! I've read the books religiously, so I understand what you mean about Snape. And I'll do my best to make sure I get him right. I think I know him pretty well

I'm more than happy to do a trial. How would that work though? Sorry for my questions haha, this board is amazing but a little daunting! It's huge! lol. At any rate, lead the way and I'll see if my Snape can run with the big dogs so to speak. And I will try your style for sure, I've been reading the posts around the place and think I can give it a go just let me know if I mess it up.

Oh and I don't have any Snape pictures to put on my account, I fail at making graphics, all I have is paint lol. Any tips on where I could get some?

I can set up a practice RP in the Beginners section shortly and we can do something non canon and out of the plotline just to see how you go.

For images, you can google something and use something you like, and then maybe ask one of our designers to do you a real ava and sig if you like.

In the meantime, maybe have a look at some of the other available canons that you might like to have a go at.
