There are main areas for characters to 'live' in on the boards.
If you are not a resident of the Malfoy Manor, Hogwarts, The Burrow or Grimmauld Place, please choose to either make a thread in London Residences (Diagon Alley), Hogsmeade Village (Hogsmeade) or Godric's Hollow Residences (all subboards). These can be temporary places to live/holiday homes if your character would have a large manor somewhere else that isn't featured on the board.
Please note that all Hogwarts students and professors 'live' at Hogwarts apart from holiday seasons and special circumstances.
If you are not sure where your character can live, please ask in this thread.
I have also noticed young teenagers looking for their 'own places' to live without their parents. This is very unlikely, firstly most would still be Hogwarts students and boarding at Hogwarts, and secondly there is no way most would be able to afford their own place (unless they are rich - but then they usually stay at home anyway because they are spoilt and comfortable...)
So please keep it realistic.
Thanks.

There are other places available to live. Characters who have been active for a while are free to ask us for a subboard either in the Unplottable Manors section or the Wizarding Homes, depending on their status.
Some wizarding communities are:
Godric's Hollow - A muggle town in the South West
Hogsmeade - The only fully wizarding town in Britain
Chipping Clodbury - A muggle town east of Bristol
Tinworth - A muggle village in Cornwall
Ottery St. Catchpole - A small muggle town in Devon
Upper Flagley - A muggle village in Yorkshire
Mould-on-the-Wold - A mainly wizard town in Lincolnshire
Chudley - A town near Devon and Ottery St. Catchpole. Home of the Chudley Cannons.
There are plenty others too to choose from.
