There are some new icons for you to use when you start a new thread! Please go ahead and use the best icon that suits your thread. You can choose your Message Icon under where you write your thread title. You can only choose it on the first post of a thread.
RP icons
Please try and use them as they will help other to know what type of rp you are starting.
Please only use this one when your thread is considered a live RP. This means that it has to start and end all in one RP session. ie. it doesn't carry on if you sign off and sign back in at a later time and you can't leave your character hanging in there, except perhaps if they have fallen asleep! There aren't many threads now that require live RP. I'd say mostly the threads in the Malfoys' lounge will still be 'live'. You cannot post in a live RP and another type of RP at the same time, otherwise your character will be considered in 2 places at once and this just isn't physically possible!
This is obvious. If you choose this icon, you are inviting anyone and everyone to join in if they wish.
This one is for pre-arranged RPs with one or 2 other people. Do not enter these threads unless you have arranged to previously. You can also use this icon if you are posting on your own in a thread and you don't want anyone following you in.
Please remember to go back and reselect this icon if you want to close your RP so that people don't carry on posting in it afterwards. Only the thread starter can select the closed RP icon. This is also handy for the moderators, when they see this icon, it means it will be OK for the thread to be locked. If the thread becomes inactive or looks like it's closed, you may find it gets locked after a while anyway without you choosing the icon.
Choose this if you are looking for an RP with one of characters considered not a friend of yours, perhaps you're looking for a bit of a fight or confrontation or something a bit different.
This is an RP that is open to friends of your character only.
Same as above expect inc. members of your family.
Workers at the Ministry and Professors at Hogwarts, please use this icon for your offices.
Professors, please use this icon for your classes.
Important threads
If your RP has been put into the Pensieve please go back to select this icon so that people can see it's a 'Pensieved' thread at a glance.
If your thread is part of an official MM plot (a plot that is posted up in the MM Plot section of Characters and Rules, not your own personal plots) please use this icon so we can track the threads.

Sending letters

This is a note that's been left for someone who lives in the same place as you, like for example residents or the Malfoys leaving notes to each other in the Malfoys post room for others to collect that haven't been sent by owl, just left on the desk for people to see, for example.
This one is new. You can now send notes via Floo. Please see the non-canon info thread here for more information.
Obviously use if you are angry. ;D
This is the icon for an owl letter that you have sent.
