*Severus knocks sharply on the door of the Minister's office. He was not happy, he had not long been informed of the content of Albus Dumbledores Will and it's direct affect upon his person. The Ministry had done an excellent job in keeping this vital information from him. He had however discovered the truth and intended on acting upon Albus' wishes immediately.*

*waits for the Minister to answer his knock*

Enter.

*Rufus called out from behind his desk, not looking up from his mound of parchment, a quill grasped in his hand*

*Strides into the office and nods his head at the Minister*

*he says dryly and takes a seat before his desk*

I have come for what is rightfully mine. The last will and testimony of Ablus Dumbledore. You are aware I'm sure that he states in it that it was his wish for me to become Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardary.

*glares coldly at the Minister as he starts his next statement*

It is my understanding that the Ministry have tried to hush up this particular morsel of information, to keep me away from my rightful post. However I have uncovered the information and now demand you give me the documents.

*his nostrals flare, his voice icy*

Ah, good afternoon Severus.

*Gestures towards an empty seat and Snape sits down*

The Will of Albus Dumbledore? Ah. Well, the Ministry are still handling it. Only 2 of the possesions have been distributed so far. Since what Dumbledore left you wasn't an item, we could not search it; and it has been marked as classified until the will had been cleared.

*Smiled superiorly*

I therefore wonder where you uncovered this news Severus?

I will be taking over as Headmaster of Hogwarts and there is nothing you can do to stop me Minister.

But Severus, it is of great importance. If you have recieved classified information outside of these walls, then you must have a source. Or somebody is not doing their job properly.

*Returns Severus glare with equal intensity*

There is no insentive for me to give it to you Severus, if you demand it of me. I do not cross reference every going on at the ministry, what is to say I even know about the will?

*Of course he did know about it, it was in this office*

I will not have a meer school teacher tell me how to do my job Severus. I can do anything I want to keep Minerva in place, but that would be dis-respecting the will of Albus.

*Stands up and turns his back on Snape, opening a filing cabinet.*

*deciding that anger was not necessarily the best way to handle the matter at hand, he stops glaring, his face going blank, cold, emotionless. He was not going to let this imbecile of a man goad him into losing his temper, allowing him to kick him out of the Ministry before he had attained what he had come for.*

You, I believe are not a complete idiot Rufus, unlike your predecessor. You know as well as I do that you could try to fight the will of Dumbledore, but it would be pointless. The law is the law. You of all people should realise that Scrimgeour.

*he says watching the man rummaging around in a filing cabinet, hoping that he would stop this tedious stalling and give him what he came for so he could leave and attend to more important engagements.*

I know the law Severus, as I helped to write it. Let's not forget I was the head of the Department for magical law enforcement before becomming Minister.

*Turns around with a piece of parchment in his hands*

*Unfolds the Parchment, blowing a small amount of dust off of it.*

I, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore does hereby bequeth the title of Headmaster to Severus Snape of Spinner's End....

*He read this part aloud, then looked up at Snape*

Of course the role of Headmaster wasn't his to give away, it belonged to Hogwarts and Hogwarts alone should see that a suitable candidate take the job. However, I wish to respect Albus' will after all he did for me.

*Scrimgeour turned his back on Snape again*
