The bedroom in Aaron and Christopher's Flat

[Christopher Andrews]

*leads the way into the back room, walking over to the window for a moment and looking out*

*turns and looks at Desdemona, then closes the door, not wanting anyone in the next room to hear their conversation*

*says sort of quietly, more to himself*

I suppose I should just start, then...

*trys to think of what exactly to say*

Desdemona, listen. I know this is a weird time and everything, but, I figure it's as good a time as any.

*takes a deep breath, and trys not to sound to sappy*

Des, I really, do like you. You know this. I don't know if you have... you know, the same feelings for me that I do for you, exactly. And now that we've left school, I know for sure that I still want to be with you. Not like a "till death do us part" thing, but for now, I know that I want to be with you, and that I do like you very much. So, I just wanted you to know how I felt. And if you want to end this, and you really don't think of me in the same way I think of you, that's absolutley fine, I'll leave. But I just wanted you to know.

*feels a bit embarrased and ackward about his little speech, but knows it had to be done*

[Desdemona Yaxley]

*Gives Christopher a warm hug* "Chris it wasn't exactly a surprise the way you've felt about me," Desdemona told him. "And I'd be lying if I hadn't thought about us being together. But there is one thing," *Desdemona sat on the ottoman in the room.* "Its my parents. They have raised me a certain way and expect me to live up to those standards. They want me to marry a rich Wizard from a respected family. And you've told me that your mother is a muggle. While I have no problem with it, my father... has allegiance to those politically who want Purebloods to have the majority in our world. They don't even know Holly's sister married a muggle." *She reaches for Chris' hand* "If we did try to pursue a relationship, my parents could never know. They own the flat that Holly and I stay, the pay our servants, food and every scrap of clothing and furniture in it. Holly and I would be forced to live out in the streets like beggar women. And there's no telling what my father would do to you. He knows dark, terrible people. Are you willing to do that for me? Be with me, but never allow my family to know?"

*listens to her intently, concentrating on every word*

*takes her hand in return, continueing to hold onto it as he sits next to her*

*does not need to think before speaking in responce*

*smiles at the mention of a "rich wizard with a respected family"*

Well, I'm certainly not rich. And I suppose it would be hard. I know it would be hard. But, I really don't care. And yes, I'm willing to do that for you. To keep it a secret from your family.

*Gives Chris another warm hig.* "Oh Christopher. Now I know I don't only have Holly to depend upon in times like these."

[Christopher Andrews]

*even though it was probably lame, his heart leapt a bit when he felt her arms around him again*

*thinks for a few seconds about how nice this feeling was then mentally pinches himself*

You always have me. In times like these, and whenever.

*hugs her back*

Well, now that that's sorted out...

*smiles to himself, sort of glad to get all that off his chest*

*grabs his hand and leads him back into the room with the others.*
