*Her resolve strengthens when the girl turns to face her. She knows she can't kill her. Today. But that doesn't mean she can't make a... lasting impression...*
And how have we been, love?
*Her voice is low and threatening. Almost poisonous.*
It's been far too long.
*A wicked grin begins to form across her flawless features while she deliberates what to do next...*

*Narrows her eyes at the threat implied within Jolie's words*
We've been just peachy.
*Severely dislikes the witch's expression, keeping her thoughts away from the fact that a bit more than ticked off Death Eater is standing less than two feet away from her.*
I don't think it's been long enough, actually.
*Her mind races, trying to think of the quickest way she can get to her wand if things go bad.*

*walks in through the front door*
*away from harry, brother, family*
*just needing a small break*
*be alone with her thoughts, to breathe, simply think things through*
*going up to the bar*
a small glass of firewhiskey please.
*taking a stool, sitting on down*

Yet.* Glad to hear it. And... you know, I believe you're right. How's our favourite Ollivander?

*Eyes flick over to Ginny briefly as she enters, debating whether or not to bring anyone else into the conversation. As she thinks of Ginny, she thinks of Harry and realizes he'd kill her if anything happened to Ginny because of the loon before her.*
*Keeps her voice at a mild level, not whispering nor shouting to rest of the pub either*
Oh, he's wonderful. Not that it's any of your business, however.
*Hears the dull thud of her drink being set down behind her, but doesn't turn around.*
I'll be sure to tell him you still care enough to ask.

*Laughs coldly*
You really think I care about him? After what he did to me?
*Sighs, smiles*
I didn't take you for that unintelligent. But I've been known to be wrong, from time to time. Never more so than the day I let myself think Greyson cared about me.
*Shakes her head*
I've moved on. Though it's obvious that you haven't forgotten our little... encounter, not long ago.

*Shrugs, part of her wishing Greyson was here but the other part thankful that he's not.*
You asked, mate.
*Whispers, mainly in disbelief towards the witch before her*
What he did to you? Did your actions completely slip your mind? Anyone with their head on right would leave one of you anyways.
*Blinks, now realizing her comment goes against the fact she's still standing here. Hopes Jolie won't catch it, but knows the chances are slim.*

*She feels as if this witch has slapped her. She reflects on the fact that she and Katie were almost friends with mild revulsion.*
I could have lived with being left. But the fact that he was double-crossing me to be with one of you is a bit much, don't you think? And what is it that you think I did? Is it wrong to act on what I believe in? Would you like to know why I am what I am, Katie?

*Eyes widen in confusion and surprise*
Could have lived?
*The witch's last question threw Katie for a loop. Was she really wanting her opinion or just really wanting to press her buttons?*
*Whispers harshly, not thinking of the future consequences*
It's wrong to act on what you believe in if others are dying for it, Jolie! I don't care why you're doing it- nothing justifies their actions. Nothing!
*Suddenly wishes the switch between her mind and her mouth would freeze, break, lock down or whatever as her and Harry's conversation at the shop flash before her eyes. She still forgave him, right? Thinks*
Well he was doing it to save everyone, not kill them!

*In an offhand manner when she repeats 'could have lived'.*
Figure of speech...
*Her voice is emotionless when she responds; she conceals her escalating annoyance.*
Pour votre information [[for your information]], I have never killed. That doesn't mean I haven't thought about it...
*Her eyes gleam with a dark light, leaving the conclusion of her statement to Katie's imagination.*
I digress. Even if I had, I wouldn't think on it twice if it furthered our cause.
*She raises an eyebrow, wondering if this is indeed true. She has never dwelled on the thought of murder before, and doesn't intend to do so now. Instead, she pushes it from her mind.*

*Here she was, standing just a few feet away from a Death Eater who was talking about possibly wanting to kill her. Normal reaction would be to fight, flee or call for help, right? Yet the first thing she thinks of is Hogwarts, and all relationship drama between fellow students. Next thought is that she doesn't know a damn thing about whatever language that was.*
Never said you killed anyone.
*Mutters through her distraction, while hoping the fact would stand true for the rest of the night.*
*Raises her voice back to semi-normal volume, almost as if talking too loudly or whispering too softly would somehow manage to get her killed. Whether or not they were in the middle of the pub didn't cross her mind.*
Why are you even here, Jolie?

*Laughs*
Undoubtedly the same reason you are.
*Gestures to Katie's drink where it sits on the bar behind her, then to the table in the corner where her own drink sits*
Didn't exactly plan on running into any... old friends.
*Is thoroughly enjoying herself. Doesn't plan on hurting Katie at the moment- it's just too much fun to keep her on edge- but is fully aware that that may change with the topic of conversation. She doesn't want Katie to realize this, however, and thus retains her expression of feigned malice.*

*Narrows her eyes once more, wondering why she hasn't left yet and why she wouldn't already.*
Don't give me that!
*Slightly cringes at the thought of being friends with a Death Eater.*
Seeing as how-
*Lowers her voice back down to a whisper*
-your friends are the reason my friends are in danger. But it makes me wonder...did you have a stressful day at work or something? Wouldn't surprise me, honestly.

*Shrugs, not caring it Katie believes her. It's actually the truth.*
Every day is stressful, in my line of work.
*Gives a half-smile*
But that's not the point. Yes, I did. Thus, I came in for a drink.
*Raises an eyebrow, waiting to see if Katie challenges this connection*

*Blinks, not really knowing where to go from here. She wasn't being directly threatened, but it didn't seem like Jolie wanted to be too terribly friendly either.*
Er- Alright then. I thought I wanted a drink earlier, but now I'm not so sure.
*Pauses, taking a second to actually look at Jolie. Selfish, yes- but Katie couldn't stop the pinprick of smugness she felt from knowing that tonight, it'd be her going back to Greyson instead of the beautiful witch before her. She glances over to the table Jolie had pointed out earlier, and once again sees the single drink in the corner.*
You have your drink, Jolie. You didn't need to go out of your way to say hello to me.
