Thanks. I can't get enough of my lil' Lucy. She's as sweet as they come.
*Nods, brightening his smile as he begins to play up the owl-lover bit because it seems Anna's quite fond of her own owl.*
Alea is a nice name. Is it Greek? Sounds Greek to me. Alea... Alea... I like the way it rolls off the tongue. *Smile disappears the moment Anna's expression changes. He can sense the sadness not only by her face, but in the air around them.*
I'm so sorry.
*Hesitantly, he reaches out for her to console her, but pulls his hand back, his expression now a mirrored vision of hers.*
Oh, you poor thing...
I can't imagine how...er...where to begin. Umm...
*Frowning, he glances around the shop, looking for another type of pet that might be suitable.*
You've an owl already...
*Spots a big fluffy calico cat gracefully hopping across the top of a few owl cages down the way, and points, giving Anna a soft nudge.*
There you are. Lookit there. Nothing beats a warm, cuddly cat, eh?

*looks back at him, brightening her disposition slightly, not wanting to be a total downer, a complete loser in front of him*
Well, it'll be alright.
*looks at the cat*
Yes, he looks sweet. *snatches the calico up in her arms, gently as she could and holds him against her chest*
Well hello there darling.
*smiles at Christian, then decides to be herself again, not wanting to worry about sadness at the moment*
Yes, I think you've just made my decision. So, *as she pets the cat* what do you do Christian?

*Blinks, quite surprised that she took such a liking to the cat as fast as she did. He's not too fond of cats, and usually the damn things are drawn to him like a moth to a flame, so he steps back a small step, grinning.*
See, that was easy.
*Smile widens. He's thrilled to now own the Haunt and Goblin, and can't wait to advertise about the new ownership. Perhaps a lovely witch like Anna, and maybe some of her friends, would drop into the pub frequently and bring in more wizards. He can actually envision the site of a full bar every night in his mind's eye.*
I own a pub. Haunt and Goblin? You know of it?
*Smile fades a bit as he looks to Anna with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. Of course, he hopes everyone knows of the place.*
Just recently acquired it as a matter of fact.
*Puffs out his chest proudly.*

*sets the cat down and watches it scurry away, figuring she'd wait to keep it from it's playing until she wanted to leave, but right now, with Christian here, she didn't want to leave at all*
Haunt and Goblin? Yes, I've heard of it. Never been myself. But that's exciting. Aren't you prestigious.
*is very impressed that she has now met the owner of something, instead of some scraggly little boy who swept up at the end of the night*
Well, then, you never know. I may just pop by any old night. I'd love to get a first person view of it.

Daisy would finally make an appearance from the staircase that led up to her room. She was holding a tiny snow white kitten in her arms, who was now wrapped in a towel purring contentedly. It hadn't been so a mere hour before... This little one had managed to get itself covered in ink and it had taken forever to get it out of her snow white fur. The little shopkeep smiled warmly as she saw the patrons in the shop, giving a little wave to them, looking self conscious. She had only meant to be gone a few moments and so left her shop open and unlocked.
She looked rather flushed as she let the little one down, grinning as the little kitten that Anna had been petting ran over to her mewing happily. Daisy reached down to stroke the little creature before looking up at the pair of people in her shop. "My appologies friends... Welcome to Magical Menagerie! Might I help you find anything in particular?"

Daisy humms softly as she finds herself straightening her beloved shop for the fifteen-thousandth time. With everything going on, she was a little bit of a nervous wreck. Worried about Ken, worried about everything that was going amiss in the wizarding world... Just plain worried. But one thing remained constant, and that was her beloved animals. They didn't worry about the coming troubles, they just lived for today. Watching the kittens she smiled warmly for a moment. Many people could learn a lot from the animals... But did they? Not really... She sighed gently and dipped down, complying with one of the kittens to take part in a bit of a playful scuffle. Oh the kitten was most delightful to her worried spirit.
Her playful antics didn't last long and she stood gazing out the window. Her main worry currently was for her dear friend, Ken Bonobo... He was locked away with the evil people and the dementors, and she felt so helpless to save him. "Oh my dear Ken... Someone will come to get you soon... They have to." A single tear rolled down her cheek as she gazed away rather lost in the moment.
