*Zero had received his new Mentor's letter, and came to meet the wizard as soon as he possibly could.*
*He approaches the looming door to the Headmaster's Office, one hand turning his coin over in his fingers, the other reaching out to knock on the door.*
*His knocking echoes through the small hall he is standing in, eyes hard on the door before him. Zero relaxes his body, and mind, closing it to the Headmaster of Hogwarts.*

*Severus is sitting behind his mahogany desk as he normally is, hands templed under his chin as he is deep in thought. A knocking from his door pulls him out of his thoughts, and back into the office.*
*Coldly he answers.*

*At the command, Zero drops the coin into his pocket, turning the knob with his free hand. The door opens to the grand office effortlessly, and he carefully steps inside.*
*He notices straight away that Severus is sitting at his desk, looking very irritated, as usual.*
I've come as quick as I was able.
*Slowly he approaches the wizard's desk, trying to assess the situation. He knows that he is to mentored by Severus at Voldemort's command, but isn't sure what all his apprenticeship will entail.*

*Severus watches the boy enter his office, his face expressionless as always. He taps his fingers to his chin lightly, trying to figure the boy out. Severus knows that Zero and his family are not what they claim, now he has to figure out what exactly the boy is up to.*
*Gestures coolly to the chair before the desk.*
Mr. Quinn...Zero...I'm certain you know why you are here?
*Regards the boy with his cold lifeless eyes.*

*Doesn't like the way Severus is looking at him, as if he is guilty of something. Though, Zero should be used to this, his old potions professor never showed any emotions whatsoever.*
*Keeping himself calm, and levelheaded, Zero jerks his head once.*

*Rises from his chair, sweeping around the desk. The need to get to the bottom of Zero's purpose for seeking out The Dark Lord is prevalent. Severus bores his cold gaze into the boy's eyes, slipping his wand from his pocket.*
Now, Zero, you have been given a task by The Dark Lord, and as you know it is not wise for you to fail.
Tell me, do you have a plan in place?
*Aims his wand at the boy, preparing to perform Legilimens.*

*Eyes Snape's wand carefully, using quite a bit of strength to keep his face a hollow mask. Slowly, Zero's eyes find the black depths of Severus' eyes. He knows that this could be a mistake, staring into the eyes of the enemy, especially one so powerful as Severus Snape.*

*Continues to watch the wand in his peripherals, keeping his breathing calm and even.*

*Before Zero has any hope of reaction, not that any would help him, memories from his past begin flooding his mind. His hands squeeze tightly to the arms of the chair as he tries to force Snape out of his mind.*
*Though his effort is strong it is futile. Zero never had any hope of defending himself against someone as powerful as Severus Snape. Now all he can do is hope that some how certain memories won't surface. He also knows that his hopes are futile.*
*The moment he has that thought a vision comes to the forefront of his mind. An old memory, but a damning one. It's a memory Zero has of a rare occasion, one in which his father is visited by none other than Albus Dumbledore.*
*The vision is suspended there in the front of his mind. He knows why Snape has chosen to linger on it. He also knows that he won't survive this encounter.*

*Severus knows that Zero and his family are deeply connected with Dumbledore. Fortunately for him, Zero does not know that he is aware.*
*Choosing to test the boy, he raises a brow.*
Professor Dumbledore knows your father?

You know that Professor Dumbledore has spoken with my father on several occasions. I believe you might have even witnessed several of their encounters.
*Holds his chin up high, almost defiantly. Now is not the time to act afraid. No, it's best to keep up the pure-blood elitist act.*

That scene looked rather cozy for the passed Headmaster and your father. It didn't seem as though they were anywhere within this castle.
*Twists his wand, still aimed at Zero, with his finger tips.*
Tell me, Zero, why would your father and Professor Dumbledore have reason to meet outside the school?

My father, and Professor Dumbledore were working on a some sort of project together. He, my father, never divulged any specific details to me.
*Shrugs, crossing his legs elegantly, giving off an air of confidence.*
I'm sure they had many, many other meetings, I would not know. My father spent plenty of time in the Ministry, perhaps that is where they met. As you can see from my memory I was quite young when that particular instance happened.

*Swallows lightly, holding his gaze on the Headmaster, unable to show weakness by dropping his eyes first. Zero's hand waves about in a casual manner, and invites Snape to do what he will, hoping to still bluff his way out of this.*
I assure you that I am hiding nothing from you, or the Dark Lord for that matter.
*Eyes the wand.*
Though as I can see you do not often give anyone the benefit of the doubt, so by all means, Headmaster Snape, use what ever course you see fit to bring about the truth.
