D.A.D.A with Kingsley Shacklebolt** [8]

*Is sorely trying to keep herself from slamming her head down on the desk at Kingsley's suggestion. Enlightened by Snape?*

_{That's not even bloody possible.}

*To distract herself from the current conversation, she pulls sheets of parchment out from her school bag, along with a quill, and starts drawing Merlin-knows-what in silence.*

[Gilderoy Lockhart]

*Still with a sense of confusion.*

Yes. Yes, I'll do that.

*He walks out slowly, one hand still on his temple, almost trying to clutch onto his thoughts as he leaves.*

[Stella Ravenwood]

*Stella slips into the room quietly, passing a wizard that is apparently leaving. She glances around the room before taking a seat near Livvie and Antoinette. She watches Professor Kingsley intently, sensing the obvious tension in the room. She does not ask, not wanting to appear rude, but smiles at everyone.*

I apologize for my tardiness, Professor.

[Antoinette Walker]

*Looks up from her doodling as she hears another student's voice, not realizing Stella had entered the room until she spoke*

*Blinks at Stella's comment, snickering playfully*

Why were you tardy, Ms. Ravenwood?

*Grins*

[Stella Ravenwood]

*Rolls her eyes at Antoinette's comment, but smiles*

I forgot my book in the common room, Ms. Walker.

*Sticks her tongue at Antoinette when the others aren't looking, giggles*

[Antoinette Walker]

*Nods, still looking down at her paper*

Of course you did.

*Is teasing*

*SAW that! She pokes her tongue back out at Stella, not caring if anyone sees. Then whispers*

_{You missed it though, you really did. That one who just walked out?}

_{He's mad! Well, Professor thinks he's been Obliviated but-}

*Glances up at Kingsley, not wanting to be yelled at for "gossiping" about someone who wasn't in the room anymore*

_{-oh, I'll tell you after class...}

[Stella Ravenwood]

*Listens intently, her eyes growing wide*

_{That's... certainly odd. I wonder-}

*Pauses when Antoinette glances at their professor, suddenly blushes*

_{That's probably best.}

*Folds her hands on the desk and pretends they weren't doing anything wrong*

*Bites her lip to keep from snickering*

Soooooo...

*Innocent expression*

How've you been today?

[Stella Ravenwood]

I've been well, thank you. And yourself?

*Grins broadly*

[Antoinette Walker]

*Shrugs, flashing another look up at Kingsley*

It's been good...not all entirely sane, but good.

*Leans back in her chair, tapping her nails on the desk*

A bit restless to start class, though, as unusal as that sounds.

*Wonders what things they'll be doing in DADA with this new Professor*

[Stella Ravenwood]

*Eyes widen in mock horror*

That is unusual for you.

*Giggles*

But same here...

[Olivia Lillywhite]

*Leans forward in her seat, almost standing up across her desk, pulling lightly on the back of Antoinette's hair.*

What do ya think we're gonna be learning from him?

*Flashes icy blue eyes at Kingsley, impressed by his demeanor, and excited to be learning from an Auror.*

*Nearly hops up and down, looking back to her housemate.*

[Antoinette Walker]

* Feels someone pulling her hair. She spins around, only to see Olivia practically sprawled ontop of her desk*

*Turns to look back up at the Professor before glancing back at Olivia*

I dunno, mate. But I hope we actually get to do things this year- like dueling and such!

*Eyes light up at the thought of actually practicing spells. Not that she's in love with the Dark side or anything, just that she prefers a 'hands on' experience with studies rather than piles of bookwork.*

[Olivia Lillywhite]

*Sits back down into her seat, nodding fervently in agreement with Antionette.*

I bet we learn loads from him. Can you imagine being an Auror? In the thick of it everyday. All that he sees... knows.

*Looks back up to Kingsley with awe.*

*Shudders at the thought of being an Auror. All the things one would see by being an Auror are sad, dark crimes and such...*

I can imagine it alright.

*Leans back in her seat*

And I don't really like it. I like being behind everything, like strategies and such...

*Grins*

But I'm pretty sure this'll be one of my favourite classes!
