That's the only reason she was here. *cough* It must be something nastier than she assumed, maybe, because she had had this cough for three weeks and had tried everything. *cough*
*walks up to the reception area, but still thinks she doesn't need to be here*
*cough cough*

*Enter from swing doors at request of the witch at the front desk*
*Holds clipboard and thinks to her self as she glances at the witch who's coughing* Should be easy, a cold?
*Heads over to witch* Hello, I'm Healer Nightingale. Will you follow me to my office?

*Glad the healer is relatively attractive, it put her at ease a bit*
Thanks.
*coughs again, this time expelling a small column of dark smoke*
Oh dear, that's new.

*Waves the funnal of black smoke issue from the girls mouth*
This way please,
*Enters a office off the main hall, there is still boxes in corners with parchment scrolls. Shows the witch to the bed be hide a curtain.*
Please have a seat Ms.
*Looks at her clip-bored*
Ms. Palmers.
*Esther thinks to herself* Black smoke just happen, coughing....sound familiar. But better ask questions before jumping to any thing written in stone.
*Thumbs through the clip-bored and asks Palmers* How long have you being feeling bad? Any spell casting in the last hours before illness? Any dueling?
*Quill freshly inked pose ready to write*

*jumps up on the little bed, throwing down her over-the-shoulder bag and clicking her feet together like she was a little girl*
*looks up when her name's called*
Yes. That's me. *cough* Oh sorry.
*sniffles the next one*
This--the coughing--has been going on for about a week. At best it's like three coughs a hour, at worst I can't get a whole sentence out. I've been hopped up on the usually remedies for the last four days. The smoke just started.
*coughs into her sleeve*
And no, no duelling, but I did casts some sealing charms on our windows about forty-five minutes ago. The drafts was coming in.

*Esther frowns, writes down information given*
*She thinks to her self* Can't be a normal cold bug, doesn't leave any one with smoke coming out of ones head.
*Looks up at Ms Palmer* Ms Palmer, you said you had a window leak? A draft? Is your home content a magical garden? Any vapors of sort that spoil plants?
*Specks as she goes to the cabinet pulls out a a few glass bottles of green and red potions.*

*shakes her head, even though she's thinking hard as she does it*
No, nope. It's in Hogsmeade so it's rather urban. It's near the Top Meadows, if that could mean anything.
*coughs again, this time with some smoke*
Aaron, he's my boyfriend, he thought that maybe I just had a cough but then when I took the potion it reacted badly to something, like an allergy.

*Pause while she writes information*
*Thinks to her self* There has been some heavy dark magic activity going on around Hogsmeade village.
*Frowns before mixing some of the bottles of potions together and hands brew over to Palmers*
Here, lets see if this helps. I must ask, if I may be so bold. Are you or any one who you know been involved in dark magic? I'm not here to judge Ms Palmers, but for your health and safety you must be honest with me.

*mentally notes that she probably should have thought of something like that, but she was so sure it was the drafts*
*coughs, smokelessly*
What? Yes. Well, no. No. I mean, not in the house. That's a set rule. But I'm in London a lot and where can't you go in London without begin hexed, huh?
*laughs, which turns into a cough, this time with smoke*
No, I'm kidding. I did spend a weekend with a friend who lives in Knockturn recently, but that's the closest I've gotten to anything...mysterious.
*smiles, thinking she pulled that off well*

*Reaches up and touches beauty mark out of habit.*
*Frowns and thinks to herself* The potion doesn't work it must be exposure to Dark Magic.
*Nods at Ms. Palmers* I had to ask. Please don't take it personally. From what it seems is you may have caught a cold. And either you took a badly mix potion, or was expose to some type of Dark magic.
*Turns to her mini cauldron and starts up a brew*
It isn't hard to stumble across traces of Dark Magic now a days. Merlin knows! I can brew you up some thing for your cold and anther cleanses potion to help ease the smoke and magical effects. We should be able to get you back on your feet in no time.

On no, no problem. I've been asked worse.
*is not thrilled to have to take another potion, but is also a little concerned, so stops bumping her feet together and pays more attention*
Well, I'm glad to hear that. Is this, like, something I'll gain an immunity to and then hopefully not pick up again? Or should I stock up on potion.
*coughs, hopefully for the last time, it was getting awfully annoying*
Oh, uh, this potion you're making now...it doesn't have any side effects does it? It's not going to interact poorly with anything else I might be taking, will it?

*Rise brow and turn to face Palmers*
You do you have to head back to work? While I can't pin my figure on what you were expose to, per say, I have seen it's effects before. What ever you were expose to isn't bad enough to harm you long term. But if you catch the same problems you know where to come and we can corner what bothers you so.
*Finish potion, simple one needing little time. Hands to Ms. Palmers*
Side effects are aren't to serious. Sluggishness. Purple tongue and or random whistling. But nothing I'm sure a nice nap wouldn't clear up. I'm sure your employer won't mind once your back on your feet. Just tell them Healers orders. No bottoms up.

*shrugs*
Just in case, good to know.
*takes the potions and downs it like a stiff drink, which isn't too hard since it tastes like stale air and had a consistency like quicksilver*
*hands it back, not admiring the aftertaste all that much*
Random whistling? Awesome.
*smiles genuinely*
Thanks for this, really, on behalf of a bunch of people.
*checks herself*
Look, no cough!

*Sighs in relief*
Just make sure you take care or your surrounds. In case I'll write up the potion in case it was some thing that drifted in your home.
*Writes out the ingredients needed and how to make healing potion and hands to Palmers*
*Shakes head sadly and thinks to her self*
How can I raise my son in a world so over run by Dark wizards that there folly magic seeps and infects the random.
*Smiles at Palmers*
It's a sad state when you can't eve walk down the street with out a touch of darkness. Which leads me to ask as more then just your self has been exposed to residue of dark magic. I'm hoping to find the source. Perhaps it could be some thing as harmless as a unseen magical bug, or one wizard in particularity.
*Writes office address on back of potion notes*
Owl me. Hopefully I can catch it before it runs out of control.

*thinks aloud*
I have a friend who's great with potions, I can get him to make it.
*takes the note and folds it, sticking it in her pocket*
*makes a face between being completely innocent and completely guilty*
Yeah. it's a shame. They had to close school my last year because of a fire started by Dark Magic. That was like the one time London was safer than Hogwarts.
*laughs, albeit a bit nervously*
*looks down at the office address*
I will. I live with my boyfriend but he's fine. Maybe it wasn't the draft then, maybe it was from somewhere else.
*pauses, picking up her shoulder bag*
Thanks again. So I just go out to the front desk now?
