The magical world of Harry Potter is full of abilities, spells and magics that lead to almost endless possibilities.
As a role play board where players are free to use their imaginations to any end, we feel that certain limitations need to be placed, mainly in order to stop things such as god moding, mary sues and younger characters having skills that they shouldn't.
The stats system was brought in to help with this.
This guide works in conjunction with the stats. I.E. the abilities are attributed to the stat levels.
Check your A-Z Profile, and the stats that you have been assigned. Below are examples of the level of spell that your character can cast or has learned according to the number you have been given.
Of course this list does not include every spell that exists, but we hope that you can use your judgement to fill in the gaps.

Offensive Spells
Depending on your stats in Battle Spell Power your character will know at least these curses. Higher stats will likely also have stronger effect.
1:
Alate Ascendare: Shoots an object or creature into the air.
Confringo (Blasting Curse): Causes anything the spell hits to burst into flame. (Level 1 and possibly 2 may only feel as though they have been punched. Level 4 may cause the victim to explode.)
2:
Aguamenti: Produces a jet of water from the casters wand.
Flipendo: Knocks an object or opponent backwards.
Expelliarmus: Disarms an opponent.
Furnunculus: Produces boils on opponent.
Incendio: Produces flame from the tip of the wand.
Rictumsempra: The tickling charm.
Stupefy: Spell stuns opponent. (Level 4 can knock them out completely.)
Waddiwasi: Launches small objects through the air.
3:
Anti Disapparition Jinx: Stops people from disapparating for a time.
Bombarda: Causes doors to be blasted open.
Confundo: Confuses an opponent.
Everte Statum: Sends an opponent flying backwards.
Expulso: Causes an object to explode.
Impedimenta: Slows or stops an object or individual.
Flagrante: Causes an object to burn anyone who touches it.
Reducto: Blasts a solid object into several pieces.
Oppugno: Orders small creatures to attack.
Incarcerous: Ties someone or something up in ropes.
Serpensortia: Produces snake.
4:
Bombarda Maxima: Causes an explosion which can bring down walls.
Glisseo: Causes staircases to flatten into a slippery ramp or slide.
Immobilis: Stops an opponent from moving.
Inflammaro: Produces fire on target which appears (does not fly)
5:
Defensive Spells
Depending on your stats in Resistance your character will know at least these spells.
1:
Alate Ascendare: Shoots an object or creature into the air.
2:
Impervius: Makes an object repel outside substances and forces such as water.
Finite Incantatem: Stops the effect of any active spells. (Learned early but effectiveness depends on strength of spells cast.)
Protego: (Shield Charm) Can be used to parry offensive spells. (Level 4 can reflect the spell towards original caster.)
3:
Flame Freezing Charm: Causes fire to become harmless and only give the sensation of tickling.
Protego Totalum: (To be cast before attacks) Provides protection for an area or dwelling.
Salvio Hexia: (To be cast before attacks) Provides protection from hexes.
Rennervate: Brings someone out of consciousness.
4:
Anti Disapparition Jinx: Stops people from disapparating for a time.
Cave Inimicum: Strengthens an enclosure from enemies.
Protego Horribilis: (To be cast before attacks) Provides further protection from Dark Magic.
5:
Charms
Depending on your stats in Charms your character will know at least these charms.
1:
Accio: Summons items and small creatures to the caster.
Lumos: Creates a torchlight at the tip of the wand.
Nox: Extinguises Lumos light.
Rictumsempra: The tickling charm.
Waddiwasi: Launches small objects through the air.
Wingardium Leviosa: Levitates objects.
2:
Alohomora: Unlocks doors that do not have magical seals.
Anapneo: Clears a targets aways if they are having difficulty breathing.
Colloportus: Locks doors with a magical seal.
Ascendio: Lifts the caster high up into the air.
Diffindo: Severing charm.
Immobilis: Stops an object from moving.
Finite Incantatum: Stops the effect of any active spells.
Locomotor (followed by the name of the target object): Causes object to rise into the air and be moved at will.
Sonorus: Magnifies the casters voice, acting like a microphone.
Quietus: Cancels Sonorus.
Reparo: Fixes broken objects.
Riddikulus: Turns a Boggart into the object the caster is thinking (preferably humorous).
Tergeo: Cleans minor substances from a surface e.g. dust, ink blood

Avis: Conjures birds from the tip of the wand.
Glisseo: Causes staircases to flatten into a slippery ramp or slide.
Incarcerous: Ties someone or something up in ropes.
Flame Freezing Charm: Causes fire to become harmless and only give the sensation of tickling.
Flagrate: Causes a users wand to leave fiery marks.
Obliviate: Hides memories of particular events.

Aguamenti: Produces a jet of water from the casters wand.

Portus: Turns the object into a portkey.

Healing
Depending on your stats in Healing your character will know at least these spells.

Episkey: Heals minor injuries.

Anapneo: Clears a targets aways if they are having difficulty breathing.
Rennervate: Brings someone out of consciousness.
3:
Ferula: Creates bandages.
4:
Vulnera Sanentur: Said once: blood flow eases. Said twice: Knits wounds. Said thrice: Removes visible injury. (Apply dittany to avoid scarring)
5:
Dark Magic
Depending on your rank in Death Eater your character will know at least these dark spells.

Flagrate: Causes a users wand to leave fiery marks.

Morsmordre: Creates a Dark Mark in the sky.

Fiendfyre: Dangerous, uncontrollable and extremely powerful fire which can take the shape of a beast like a serpent, dragon or chimera.
