Brooms
Broomsticks would be one of the primary methods of travel for witches and wizards.
Enchanted brooms that fly and are under the control of their rider.
Floo Network
The Floo network is a network of fireplaces regulated by the Ministry. Only the Ministry can approve and remove places from the network.
To access the network, one must toss a handful of Floo Powder into a fireplace, walk into the heatless, green fire, and declare the desired destination.
When stating the destination you must be very clear or you could end up somewhere completely different.
Only one person may use a fireplace at a time.
Apparition
Apparating is like magical teleportation.
Wizards and witches can not get an apparation license until they are 17.
One has but to recall The Three D's: Destination, Determination and Deliberation. One must be completely determined to reach one's destination, and move without haste, but with deliberation
It is very difficult and often feels unpleasant.
It also has a certain range. Greater distances are more difficult to achieve, and even further are impossible, so brooms or other methods must be resorted to.
Unsuccessful apparition may result in 'splinching' which could be as severe as leaving a body part behind.
Portkey
A Portkey is a normal looking object that when touched teleports anyone touching it to a preset location.
Though it only has one preset destination its advantage is that many people can use it at the same time.
They can be prepared so that users may return to the original place by touching it again, or to revert to their normal function after being used once.
Travelling by Portkey is said to feel like having a hook "somewhere behind the navel" pulling the traveller to their location.
Vanishing Cabinet
A rare cabinet which is magically linked to another cabinet.
When someone or something steps inside it, they disappear and reappear inside the twinned cabinet.
