Malfoy Mansion Plot 2010
The Great Divides
The Great Divides
Voldemort has given Harry his final warning.
It is time for him to give himself up, to join him at his side, or accept the prophecy that he is to die. 'One can not survive while the other lives.'
Voldemort has become restless waiting for his minions to stumble across his foe, and is ready to unleash his full force in destroying the Boy who Lived.
Murders and kidnappings have become more frequent, and the Ministry is seemingly powerless against it.
Harry meanwhile is still an outcast in the wizarding world, still shunned for his brief time under Voldemort's command. Only his closest friends know the truth of his bravery and more importantly his whereabouts.
In possession of two of the Hallows, the Invisibility Cloak and the Resurrection Stone, the hunt for the Elder Wand goes on.
Within the wizarding community and even the Ministry itself there is disarray.
Individuals have begun to break away from the mainstream and the leadership of Rufus Scrimgeour, intending to form a rival political party and elect a new Minister for Magic.
Even within the establishment, differences between the Law Enforcement Team, the Aurors, the not lawfully recognised Order of The Phoenix and even the youngsters of Dumbledore's Army means that there is little cooperation in the fight against evil.
Alongside the war effort, the law teams have noticed the trade of several black market items and are determined to find the source.
Not all is well among those of the opposition though either.
The Death Eaters vie for power amongst themselves, each looking to prove their worth to their master and show themselves superior to the others. The members of the Dark Lord's inner circle change at his whim, as wizards and witches please or disappoint him. Promotions and disgraces are awarded here and there, leaving some with positions of pride and others left to fend for themselves.
Lucius Malfoy and his family have been redeemed in the eyes of the public, having publicly announced their defection from Voldemort's ranks and a servant of theirs being murdered by Greyback for the effort.
Could he too be a choice for Minister of Magic?
Within Hogwarts, students have been mysteriously disappearing. Rumours speak of something hidden in the Forbidden Forest that not even Hagrid knows about.
Searches have come up with nothing. Teachers and students alike fear for their safety, but are any brave enough to discover the truth?
Plot notes
> Azkaban is still under Voldemort's control. It is hidden from view and unplottable to anyone without a Dark Mark. Only those with one can find it or apparate there, unless performing side along apparition.
Surrounding it is an army of Dementors.
> Harry still has a dark mark from his time as a Death Eater. This means that Voldemort can contact him at any time with ease.
It also means that Harry can access the hidden Azkaban.
> Harry's ownership of the Resurrection stone has increased the power of his Patronus, potentially allowing it to hold off thousands of dark creatures.
> Voldemort's name bears a Taboo. Anyone who utters it reveals their location to him, making the importance of referring to him by other means even greater.
