*Amberlin Harlow, even as a child, has been used to having things handed to her, or eventually winning whatever it was she wanted in the end. However, as life moves on and time keeps ticking, she's realized that there are others just like her who use whatever resources available to achieve their goals. She's even lost a few things she held so bloody close to her heart- no matter the rumours, her said heart isn't non-existent, just reluctant to show. The stress from these realizations, along with the horrendously confusing feelings whenever she thinks of Theodore Nott or Caius Reppert, Amberlin is no where near alright. Mentally or emotionally at the moment.*
*It's far too cold to fly- not like she would anyway- yet sitting alone in her cottage with Case, her just as restless feline, has finally pulled at her last nerve. So now, she's meandering around Hogsmeade as she only occasionally pauses to look at something inside the shops.*
*She thinks to herself.*
Of course, Theodore's ridiculously dashing, but Caius- Merlin!- he's a Quidditch star, and obviously a fit one. They both are deliciously rich though...
*Snickers to herself, head held high as the thoughts turn over, again and again in her mind. She reaches up with a gloved hand, pulling all of her dark hair over her left shoulder. The static is minimal, and she honestly wouldn't have cared either way, because so far she hasn't met anyone good enough to bother impressing just yet.*

*As always, Ananlessa walked the streets of Hogsmeade, a cold detached look upon her face* Her red curls were pinned up, into an elegant bun, absent of a winter hat. There was absolutely nothing that interested her today. After buying a few sweets, simply for the sake of doing something, she found herself going through what was becoming a dreadfully boring routine. Walking the same streets, she now knew by heart.
*Paying no mind to the people she passed, as she never found them of any importance, Annalessa sighed. Preparing to simply head back home.*

*Keeps her pleasantly surprised expression to herself, seeing another witch walking in her direction. Her eyes slid over the witch's outfit, admiring the style along with the way the witch held herself. She looked bored, yet confident of herself, which is something Amberlin always loves to see in a fellow witch.*
I've seen her somewhere before, haven't I?
*Blinks, actually not knowing the answer to her own question. However, the witch was getting closer, and before she could think about it, the comment slips from between her lips.*
Love the shoes.

*The unexpected voice caused Annalessa to turn, her brow lifted slightly* Always one to love compliments, she still wondered exactly who was talking to her. And as her eyes landed on another witch, a small smirk came to her face.
It was clear by the woman's wardrobe, she was wealthy. Which would make it socially exceptional for Annalessa to associate with. Her choice in style, was also a bonus. "Same." Annalessa was always brutally honest, and liked to be straight on point. After eying the witches profile, with sharp judging eyes; She felt a spark of approval.
"May I ask, your name?" It wasn't really a question, but more out of politeness. Since the witch had spoken first, it would be considered rude to simply walk away.

*She grins, recognizing the critical look that she herself gives others. It's nice to see a witch aware of her surroundings in times like these.*
You can call me Amberlin. And you are?
*Slips her hands into her pockets, turning to face the witch fully. It's cold outside, yet the witch seems unaffected by the chill. Amberlin doesn't know if she should take that look, or the overly-confident, slightly dangerous air around the other as a threat or as something helpful. It's easier to be around others who are like her, which means it's also harder to judge, and therefore be judged.*
Merlin, it's cold out here, isn't it?
*A second later, Amberlin decides that she honestly likes her shoes.*

"Winter has not yet gone. The cold is expected." *Annalessa shrugged, reaching up with a delicate hand to brush a loose strand of hair away.* "As for my name..Annalessa." She never gave her full name away, in case anyone recognized the last name. Trust didn't travel far with Annalessa, as she never knew who associated with who.
Silence settled quickly between the two witches, Annalessa refusing to be the one to break it. She kept her gaze fixed intently on Amberlin, waiting for some type of reply. If there was none, then she would continue on with her day. Patience was not one of Annalessa's strongest points.

*Inwardly rolls her eyes as the silence settles in, already impatient with the witch's act of playing coy, or pretending to be distant.*
Hm. This is true, Annalessa- lovely name by the way.
*Sighs, not breaking eye contact with the witch.*
However, I have a few errands to run before I can chat, would it be possible to owl you sometime and meet up later?
*Is somewhat lying, having things to do but lacking the motivation.*

*Her eyes narrowed in scrutiny, trying to see if the older witch was lying* In Annalessa’s opinion, Amberlin should’ve never started conversation in the first place, if she wasn’t up to ‘ chatting ‘. However her annoyance on the fact was small, and Annalessa figured it couldn’t hurt to agree to another meeting.
“Yes it would be possible, though I hardly spend time at home. However I’m always somewhere in the area. Perhaps I’ll run into you.“ *A small smirk pulled at the corner of her lips, before she spun on her heel gracefully, and continued on her way.*
