*On the edge of the Forbidden Forest Severus awaits for his new apprentice to arrive for her evaluation. As he waited he took the time to perform a Disillusionment Charm so powerful that none could see him as he stood before the old darkening forest.*
*Inside the forest he knew his guests also waited, they were hidden well within the trees...and whatever else lay hidden in it's depths. He had chosen this location for it's privacy, and it's legendary creatures. The Acromantulas alone are nasty to deal with.*
*The ever impatient Headmaster paced the edge of the forest, every so often checking the horizon for her arrival.*

Annalessa knew the ex Professor wasn't a patient man. This opportunity was rare, and her success was the key, to taking one step closer to her goals. Time was also a key factor, so one could be assured the young witch would take care to be on time.
*Arriving Thursday evening, precisely 7:45 as the Headmaster had told her to; Annalessa walked through the gates, and onto the grounds of Hogwarts. She stopped upon her arrival, and looked around for the Headmaster.*
Excited and nervous all at once, Annalessa's frowned. She couldn't see his dark silhouette in the equally dark background. The Headmaster hadn't told her where to go. Only that she'd be met upon the school grounds.

*Severus' impatient eyes finally find the expected Annalessa, right on time as a matter of fact. He slipped his invisible hand quietly into the folds of his black invisible robes and withdraws his wand.*
*With a steady hand, the Headmaster aims his wand upon the nearing witch's chest, and silently steps from the brush.*
Stupefy!
*Rings out into the evening sky from the Disillusioned wizard's lips.*
*The only warnings were his words and a jet of red light seeming to come from nowhere, and it hurtles through the night toward Annaleesa.*

She could sense someone was there, or something. One never knew what to expect upon the grounds of Hogwarts, so close to the dark brooding Forests. Luckily, Annalessa was many things. But a fool was not on that list. Without a doubt, Snape had something up his sleeve. *Looking around with sharp, narrowed eyes; Annalessa studied ehr surroundings carefully. Her hand had moved towards her wand, of it's own accord. The wand being her only protection*
Hairs on the back of her neck stood on end, a feeling Annalessa only got while being watched. Whatever it was that await her, was most definitely on guard. One mistake could be her life... or theirs if Annalessa could help it. ' Stupefy! ' The words rang out like thunder, piercing the silent night. Unmistakably humane, yet all thoughts flew out the window. Annalessa reacted the moment she heard that thunderous cry.
*With bare seconds to spare, wand out and pointed Annalessa shouted the reflective spell. Her eyes pinned on the red light, heading for her with speed and precision* "Protego!" The previous fired spell reflected off the shield suddenly in front of Annalessa. Bouncing off, and towards where ever. Under normal circumstances the witch would've fired an offensive spell, but she knew better. An invisible opponent was dangerous, and it would be too easy to miss.
*Her face set in a cool mask, Annalessa stood with her feet rooted refusing to be lowered into fear. Wand still pointed, adrenaline raced through her blood stream. A cold smirk pulled at her lips*

*The lips of the Disillusioned Headmaster twitched as his spell was deflected by the young witch's Shield Charm. Her reflexes are quick, but unfortunately for her, Severus' are faster, and he doesn't need to warn her by speaking any incantation.*
*Giving another sharp flicker of his wand, Severus non-verbally cast another Stunning Spell. If she should somehow not get hit with this spell then The Headmaster most certainly will have to resort to using a Draught of Living Death or other means to render the witch unconscious.*

As she stared out into the dark forests, each sense heightened with alert, suddenly another alarming light flew towards her. Annalessa recognized it as another stunning spell, and quickly deflected that as well. Something wasn't quite right, besides the obvious of an invisible force trying pulling her into a battle of wit and reflexes. The spells came from one particular direction, which didn't go unnoticed by the ex Ravenclaw.
*Surveying the area quickly, Annalessa felt very silly as realization dawned on her* A disillusion charm! Of course. Obviously the one using it, wanted to take her by surprise and Annalessa felt foolish for not figuring it out sooner. *Giving no sign of the answers she'd gained, Annalssa decided to let the other think they still had the upper hand* Disillusion spells may have made the caster invisible, but spells still had their effects*
"Flipendo!" *Aimed squarely at where the spell had traveled from, Annalessa wait for impact. While still on guard for another spell aimed* However she'd miscalculated, and was hit in that exact moment by the spell, her reflexes nowhere near good enough to black it.
*Frustrated beyond relief, Annalessa grew stiff as a board only able to fall gracelessly like a pile of wood. * Her eyes were burning with fury, as she faced the night sky, stars twinkling as if to mock her.
