Feeling immensely bored at the thought of yet another few hours of transfiguration, Nancy walked into the library and flopped down at one of the desks. She pulled out her quill, ink and a fresh piece of parchment, and neatly wrote the title of the assignment at the top. She stared down at the large blank space covering the rest of the parchment, waiting for inspiration...
Nothing. Hating McGonagall for ruining her afternoon, Nancy looked up to see who else was in there. Lots of students buried in their work, all of them looking far too engaged to want to assist her procrastination. Looking over to the periodicals, she noticed a girl having a wander, not seemingly looking for anything in particular. She recognised her as a Ravenclaw - Isabelle, was it? She smiled at her, hoping she would come over to help postpone the boredom of her waiting homework.

-continues walking around, not seeing any new things to interest her-
-looks about at all of the students studying so hard and sees one she might recognize-
-decides that the Hufflepuff girl probably won't mind being bothered and walks over to her table, smiling-
Hello, there. I think we've met once before? I'm Isabelle.
-chews on her lip nervously, hoping the girl won't be angry for being interrupted-

"I thought so. I'm Nancy." she replied, thankful for the distraction. "So are you sufferring from masses of homework too? I'm sick of the sight of the library. I thought sixth year would be a bit easier, with having free periods, you know?" She broke off for a moment, conscious that Madam Pince was nearby. When sh moved away, Nancy continued, in a lower voice, "Anyway, I'm ready to pack in transfiguration for the day. I've written the title, that's a start, right?"

-smiles kindly at the girl-
Actually, I just managed to finish everything... everything that is due tomorrow anyway. I had to stay buried for about three days just to accomplish that, though. Free periods included.
-continues smiling, tapping her foot as the librarian walks by-
Yes, I think a title is a wonderful start. Put your name on it and you'll be half done!
-is grateful for this bit of conversation after so much time spent studying-

Nancy laughed, dipped her quill in her ink and wrote her name at the top of the parchment. "There, I feel a great sense of accomplishment now! I'm not in the mindset to do this now, do you want to go for a walk or something? I need to get out of the library before I go mad and start enchanting books to fly into the lake or something."

-laughs lightly then looks around for the librarian cautiously-
Yes, that sounds wonderful. Though, I don't know if I would really object to watching my transfiguration books fly into the lake.
-moves her bag further up on her shoulder and then hears her stomach growling-
How do you feel about a snack in the Great Hall? I think I missed breakfast this morning.

"You think you missed breakfast this morning?!", Nancy laughed, "You must be pretty tired to not remember as far back as the morning. I don't think I'm quite at that stage yet, but I'm sure I'll get there if this homework doesn't let up soon." She lifted her bag off the floor and onto the table and packed away her things. "A snack sounds great, got a bit of a craving for a pumpkin pasty."

Mmm. Yes, that sounds wonderful.
-wraps her scarf around her neck with a flourish, pulling her bag further up on her shoulder-
I certainly could use a break. You'd think the professors would know that sooner or later we're not going to be comprehending anything. It's just too much!
