((Continued from here))
Francis was angry. He was sticky and angry, and he was dying to go back up to the Great Hall and cause some serious damage to the Ravenclaw's face. She was seriously deranged to think she could spy on him and hit him and think he wouldn't react. Considering, he thought he'd done pretty well at controlling his temper. Everyone in the school knew that Francis Thorne had a short fuse, but he'd never hit a girl, and he was determined to keep that record up. He didn't want to be violent. Still, most of the boys he'd had fights with had deserved all they got.
Growling in anger, Francis slammed his fist into the wall beside a portrait of a fat man in drag. He made a tutting noise. "Piss off," Francis shouted. The man eyes Francis' frown and gritted teeth, before rolling his eyes and wandering out of the painting and off along the hall from canvas to canvas.
Francis turned and let his back rest against the wall. He wanted to calm down before heading back to the Hufflepuff common room. He did not need to go and get himself into another fight and end up with detention. He had so little time to spend with Gen as it was; he wasn't going to cut it short any more.
Gen... She had seen everything that had happened. He sighed, shutting his eyes. He hoped she didn't think he was some kind of neanderthal thug after that little performance. He hoped she cared enough about him to have been secretly on his side, not just laughing at the angry Hufflepuff.

Gen left the Great Hall in a bit of a hurry. She couldn't explain why but she made sure to take a route that might lead her to Francis if he happened to still be about. She knew he needed comforting and although she was quite aware that she wouldn't be able to give it to him, she felt that seeing him would somehow put her at ease. And maybe, just maybe, it would do the same for him. And as luck would have it when she turned the corner into another corridor, she saw him. He looked upset, almost defeated, as he leaned back against the wall. She stopped and waited for him to open his eyes, making sure she was in his line of sight. When he finally did so she smiled at him. A smile that spoke a thousand words. A smile that told him that she had seen everything and she was pleased, proud of him even.
She wanted to run to him then. She wanted to hold him and kiss him and make him feel better any way she could. But that was not possible. Not here, there were too many students about. So she did the only thing she could do...keep going. She looked left and right and when she was sure no one was looking she blew him a kiss, turned around, and disappeared around the corner again.

Francis watched Gen walk by, convinced she was annoyed with him, at his behaviour. She had smiled, but he couldn't work out if it was the Slytherin sneer, or the smile she saved just for him. His head was too much of a mess to tell the difference. Still, just as he thought she was going to disappear around the corner, she stopped and blew him a kiss. He stared for a moment before smiling to himself. She was gone.
The smile didn't last long, but at least Francis wasn't worried any more. Gen had seen everything, and she didn't seem to care. At least, that's what he was reading into it. He'd have to see her later. He needed to see her. He needed to kiss her. Withdrawal was one of the reasons he had been so touchy in the last few days. Still, he felt slightly better now. He pushed a sticky lock of hair out of his eyes but stayed with his back against the wall.

Jennessa walked quickly out of the Great Hall soon after Francis... To be honest she didn't want to be in there anymore. Her face was hot with embarrasement and surprise at Francis' actions. She had seen him storm out, and even if they weren't exactly friends... They were housemates. She wanted to be certain he was alright. Well... Nessa wasn't exactly alone, a few other people were filing out of the Great Hall as well, not many but a few. The rest simply went back to their conversations and meals. Now that the entertainment was gone...
She scoffed softly and angrily, a storm brewing behind those pretty blues. She walked down the hall, glaring at the ground for the moment. She raised a hand to run her fingers through sticky wet hair and cringed. Oh that was going to be fun to get out... Yet she continued on down the hall, and as she walked along the wall, a pair of feet came into her vision. She followed them up quickly and found they belonged to one Francis Thorne. This had to be an amusing sight... Jennessa standing there rather surprised, fingers halfway through soaked, brightly colored hair, looking at him. But she soon fought a wry smile into place. "This is going to be murder to get out I bet..." She shook her head a little before looking at him with the tiniest of smiles. "You alright?" She furrowed her brows a little as she instantly replayed what happened in the Great Hall in her mind.
