"It's a dark world we live in, Rose. Times will only become darker, and stranger as the days wear on. But you mustn't be discouraged. As long as there is light in your own heart you'll be just fine."
Roslyn had always believed her grandmum to be a very wise woman. But then for someone to have lived for so long, you had to learn something right? Her words were forever engraved upon the young witches heart, even with her passing Roslyn could remember them like it were yesterday.
Her gran had been right. Times were very strange and dark. But life was too short to linger on bad thoughts, and so Roslyn had made it a point to walk with her head held high, a smile on her face. She wouldn't let the darkness surrounding her consume her. Not now, or ever if she could help it.
After working at the shop she'd found herself craveing something sweet; and where else would she go but Hogsmeade? The familiarity alone was inviteing, and quite frankly she couldn't think of a single person who could resist Honeydukes chocolate.
*Walking out of the shop, Roslyn unwrapped the barge bar of chocolate, humming a soft tune to herself. Hardly paying any mind where she was walking, concentrated soley on her snack*

Roger decided to go to Honeydukes, also needed something sweet to get through these dark times. People were disappearing and refused to leaves their homes at times. The ministry seemed to be falling apart. Some chocolate was just what he needed.
Walking up to the door of the shop he was momentarily distracted, looking inside the windows instead of where he was going, and ran right into someone.
"Oi! I'm sorry!" he said to the stranger.

*Fully anticipateing the sweet taste of chocolate, Roslyn found the wind being knocked out of her, as a solid force ran into her; effectively knocking her to the ground. Barely manageing to soften her fall as her hands flew out, Roslyn held back a wince feeling the rough stone underneath her hands. Her gaze locked on her chocolate bar which lay upon the ground*
"Oh nooo.." Whining in disappointment, Roslyn took a few seconds to mourn her lost chocolate, before looking over to the source of the accident. Casting aside her chocolate troubles for the moment, Roslyn stood brushing her hands on her robe*
"Are you alright?" *Not yet reconizeing whoever it was, Roslyn glanced over her scraped palms* "Wasn't quite watching where I was going, I'm terribly sorry." *Fully aware it wasn't entirely her fault she thought it best to take the blame anyway*

Roger looked and saw the beautiful young woman that he inadvertently knocked over. She looked strangely familiar, he knew he had met her before, but where?
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to do that. Are you alright?" he asked as he offered to help her up as she looked at her chocolate bar on the ground.
"Please forgive me, I'll be happy to buy you a new one" he said pointing at the bar.

*They were both busy exchangeing apologies. Seeing how the whole thing really was an accident, Roslyn couldn't be too annoyed at her fallen sweet; smiling a bit at the strangers offer, but having to decline.*
"It's alright, it was only an accident. I've the money to buy another, no worries."
*Reaching to brush her hair out of her face, Roslyn had to note that at least he was a gentleman*
"Not much harm done." *Ignoreing her palms which were bleeding slightly, Roslyn took a good look at the stranger finally. Frowning lightly, feeling like he was familiar*
"Pardon my curiosity but... do I know you from somewhere? You look very familiar."

"Roger Davies, from Ravenclaw house. It's unlike me to forget such beauty, but you were in Ravenclaw too, I think?" he said as he looked her over. Noticing her bruised hands he had to make an offer to help her.
"Your palms, are you alright? Do you need anything for them?" he said as he pointed to them.

*As he revealed who he was, Roslyn's eyes lit up in reconization. Of course he was Roger Davies*
"Yes, I was! I'm Roslyn Levere. Now I remember you, from Hogwarts of course... on the Quidditch field yes?"
*Not really knowing how to respond to his compliment, Roslyn looked at her palms at his reminder that they did require healing*
"Oh it's just a few scrapes.."

"I've had practice with minor healing spells. I'm sure I could take care of a few scrapes like that. It is the least I could do for you" he said, feeling slightly guilty for knocking her over, causing her to lose her chocolate bar and getting her palms scraped.

"Well if you insist, though it really isn't too much of a bother.." *He was being awfully nice, and persistent; So Roslyn thought she'd give in, holding out her palms with a small embaressed smile. She felt like she'd been taken back to her days at Hogwarts, waiting for her wounds from Quidditch to be magically healed*
"You know just for old times sake, perhaps we could get a few butterbeers?" *The words slipped out of her mouth before she could really think, the thought a spare of the moment thing. But it was always nice catching up with old school mates... well most of the time*

Roger pulled out his wand, concentrated for a moment and chanted Tergeo while waving it over her hands, hoping it would work.
"Actually, some Butterbeers would be lovely, where would you like to go?"

*Watching as her palms healed, Roslyn placed her hands down once the magic was finished*
"Thank you. As for the butterbeers anywhere of your preference is fine, I'm not picky at all. " *Laughing lightly she shrugged*

Roger breathed a sigh of relief as her palms healed, thankful he did not goof the spell up.
"There. Good as new." he said, looking rather pleased with himself.
"The Three Broomsticks is around the corner, would that be acceptable?"

"Yes that would be lovely." *Offering a bright smile, Roslyn straightened out her cloak making sure she looked presentable.*
"I don't look too ruffled do I?" *Teasing slightly, she laughed*

Smiles back as he says "You look beautiful", before he begins to lead the way to the Three Broomsticks.
After a short walk, they reach the pub.
"After you" as he opens the door for her.
