Harry apparated in, Valley on his arm. He let her go as soon as their feet were firmly on the ground and looked at her embarrassedly. "Here we are," he said, pushing the door to the pub open. He stepped inside the smokey tavern, and held the heavy wooden door back for her to enter. There was a small table in a dark corner which he headed to. "Is here alright?" he asked.

Walks in, feeling the awkward tension steadily thicken.
"Oh, it's fine." she said, sitting down and finding an interestin fingernail to pick at.

Harry stood awkwardly beside her, not sure whether to sit down or not. Finally he decided not to and to get the drinks in instead. "What can I get you?" he asked, nodding to the bar.

Is tempted to dryly say 'water.'
"Oh um, just butterbeer is okay right now. Thank you.," she said, looking up from her hand, really considering the running away theory at this point.

Harry smiled and nodded before heading to the bar. "A butterbeer and a red currant rum," he said to the barman, glancing over his shoulder at Valley. She really was incredibally beautiful. He couldn't quite believe they'd actually.... Well, it was all still rather blurry. He just couldn't figure out why he hadn't remembered it at the time. He was jolted back to reality as the barman handed him their drinks. He payed and took the butterbeer and rum back over to the table. He handed Valley hers before sitting opposite her.

She took the fact that his back was to her to her advantage and manages some good hair staring and puts being properly ashamed of herself to the back of her mind. She never got to have any fun, why not now? And it wasn't like she saw him everyday or anything - she would just enjoy the short tiny little amount of time she had at the moment and soak it up. Then she could put it to the back of her mind and avoid thinking about it infront of death eaters. Easy. Sort of like killing. Which would probably happen to her when her brilliant plan failed.
Enough mind rambling, he was coming back. She smiled at him across the table "Thanks," and she picked up her drink and took a sip of it. Ugh. Butterbeer wasn't exactly as calming and relaxing as it had been when she was in school - she was defintely regretting the last minute 'absolutely no alcohol around harry ever ever again if you value your life' rule she had made up. She didn't even begin to think about the whole 'value your life comment' since herlife had been put on hold for a year.
"So what have you been up to lately?" she said, immediately going into 'shifty, uncomfortable, figeting' mode the second she said that. He would say 'nothing really, what about you' and she would say_. Great. Carrying on a conversation with what used to be and might possibly be now the enemy was really hard.

Harry shrugged, sipping his drink. "As I said, I've been hanging around with a different crowd, so I've just been getting to grips with the change in dynamics..." He smiled a little warily. Was he giving too much away. He didn't want to drop himself in it so soon. "How about you?" he asked, running his eyes over her face. She looked almost shifty, kind of guarded.

Eyeing him, wishing he would stop being all vague, she wished he would just tell her what he was up too.
"Well, I've been pretty much doing nothing. Just waiting around, biding my time until..." thinks very carefully. What was she supposed to say!? This was impossible, but she had to say something, just letting her sentences trail away for ten minutes generally drew suspicion. "I'm just waiting until something of substance that the general public can actually understand happens. You know, with this whole 'war' thing. They tell us nothing that means... anything. We just here clippings of useless hints and then we're left in the dark, being told orders that we don't even understand. It's just hard being left out of the main picture. Especially since I'm supposed to be truste-" she frozed. Oh god. Maniac ranting had practically ripped her to shreds. Oh nooo. Picks a spot on the table and waits for the questioning to begin.

"Orders?" he asked. "Trusted?" He narrowed his eyes. Who's side was she on? He knew she came from a family of aurors, but that didn't nessecarilly mean she agreed with their views... "Valley, what would you say if I told you someone, who was close to Dumbledore, had changed sides, and was working for Voldemort?"

Smiling at him, she stood up and started for the door. She turned around a the last moment.
"I'd say quite a few things: 'Good Choice,' 'I was right,' and 'You're an idiot if you think you can discuss private things here. You should've learned your lesson last time'."
She opened the door and jerked her head for him to follow.
"Come on, I'm not saying anything until we get out of here."

Harry raised an eyebrow before gulping down his drink and standing up. Did this mean she was on Voldemort's side...his side? He smirked and followed her to the door. "Where are we going?" he asked.

Sighing, she walked out, ready for him to follow. They needed to get out of here, and, honestly, she had to be able to trust people before blurting out her secrets. She had learned her painful lesson from that, and wasnt' about to repeat it, or put herself in more danger.
