*He wasn't a fool, and had a good memory for faces that he had seen inside his pub. He knew that the man had been here before, though it had been recently and he had no reason to be suspicious about someone wanting to go camping. He decided a bit of advice wouldn't do any harm.*
*He replied as he poured the man his drink.*
Well there's plenty of forest about here, or you got the Top Meadow. That's popular. Good view of the night sky if you're into that sort of thing.
*He slid the man his drink.*

*He returns the payment and gives a smile while taking his first sip.*
Thanks bud.
*He lets out an 'aah' sound of refeshment.*
I'll have a look about there. Might bring the family.
*That was the information he needed right now, and he doubted he'd get any more from the barkeep. Best thing to do now was hang about for a while, have a few more drinks and leave without looking suspicious.*

Roslyn was a witch on the run.... with absolutely no idea what she was doing. She had hoped to find a train station but fear had a way of exhausting even the most headstrong witches and wizards. And so it was the Hog's Head Inn the young witch found herself entering, hood drawn low.
Yes it was foolish to return to any area close to her home, but what choice did she have? Risk running and passing out from exhaustion then getting caught anyhow? Or listen to her body and find a place she knew she could find rest? Besides, Roslyn had a few tricks up her sleeve. She had managed a simple illusion spell to disfigure her face. Anyone looking at the hooded form entering would see nothing more than a hunched back figured, wrinkled, frail hands turning the knob of the door. The spell wouldnt last long, just a few hours. Roslyn didnt want to risk anyone recognizing her, using her mothers name to order a room. Only those who knew her personally would dare to think of such a thing should anyone come looking. Certainly not any unwanted company.
The witch sat at a table in the back, a warm cup of tea in hand to fight off the chill of the evening.

There was no trace of Roslyn in London. Tom, The Leaky Cauldron's barkeep, was of no help, and no one Theodore questioned in Diagon Alley had any useful information. Now it appeared the same would be happening in Hogsmeade. Roslyn truly had vanished. Her house was clearly deserted, no one at the Three Broomsticks had seen hide nor hair of the witch, and Theo's patience was thinning quickly.
There was hardly a soul in the Hog's Head, which was typical, and that was what Theodore needed. He needed a quiet spot to gather his thoughts and temper before he made mistakes, and allowed Roslyn's trail to grow even colder.
The door clicked shut behind him, and Theo ignored the vacant tables like an idiot as he pulled himself up to the bar.
"Wine... Elderflower..."

Roslyn felt fairly safe with her clever disguise, enough to where she had let her guard down just a second. And apparently that was all it took before an unexpected figure arrived. It wasnt the worst person she could see, but the very person she had left behind to deal with this mess that had become her life. "Oh bloody hell.." She murmuered to herself. What on earth was Theo doing here all of the sudden? Either way it was Roslyns cue to leave. Disguise or not she felt as if she shouldnt wait around. Moving a lot slower than she would have liked, Roslyn tried to shuffle out of the pub quickly not even realizing in her haste the pendent dropping from her cloak. A delicate RL, speciallly made.
'Curse this blasted body.' Roslyn fumed to herself unable to move much faster than a snail in her old identity.

In the quest to find Roslyn it was becoming increasingly clear Theodore knew very little about the witch. He had no idea of where her usual haunts may be located, he wasn't sure of who her closest mate may be, nor did he know her Favourite color. He knew as much as any other chap off the streets and that was maddening.
As he sipped his wine, he tried to come up with a plan. Usually, he always had an idea of what to do next. Now, however, he was back at the beginning of his quest, though more questions than answers have risen.
Behind him there was a bit of shuffling. Nothing that caused an alarm, but enough to draw Theo's attention. He turned to see, and spotted a very old witch as she struggled to exit. Merlin, if she moved any slower Theodore would be an old man by the time she reaches the door . He shook his head at the sight when something from her pocket fell, catching the light as it hit the filthy floor.
Without a thought, Theo slid down from his stool before reaching down to retrieve the lost object and immediately caught sight of the dainty charm dangling from the chain.
"R...L..." He murmured before his head snapped up in the direction of the old woman. His heart skipped a beat before sinking to the soles of his drangonhide shoes. He was staring after a feeble, wizened old crone not Roslyn.
"Ma'am!" Theodore followed, holding out the necklace. "You've dropped this..."

Of course things never turned out as planned. Roslyn had no idea why she thought this time would be different. She had been spotted before she could reach the door, but in all honesty she hadnt thought Theodore would bother with an old witch. She expected to be invisible to the wizard, trying to flee just as a precaution. It was more surprise than anything that caused her to stop and turn towards the dark haired wizard.
Merlin's beard. She had dropped her pendant apparently, and thank stars it had been brought to her attention. It was all she had left of her grandparents, having that same pendant since her Hogwarts days. However, she didnt rush to grab it right away, taking a moment to look carefully at Theodore. Who knew when she would see the wizard again?
"Thank you, Theo." It slipped out before she could realize as she reached for her necklace, a habbit of referrig to the wizard by his name rather than Nott. It was a simple mistake anyone could make.

That was not right. Not right at all.
Suspicion flooded Theodore as his fingers curled around the chain he was holding out for the witch to take. He had no recognition of the old, weathered face, but her voice... She sounded so like Roslyn. Could this woman have been an old governess that, once upon a time, was hired to care for him? That would explain why his name rolled from her tongue with such ease.
That, or...
"Who are you?", he demanded as his other hand twitched toward his pocket. One thing was clear, the necklace the witch had dropped was going to remain in his possession until his question was answered and he deemed her truthful.

Well she was caught now, and for the silliest reason. Roslyn could have kicked her own tail for such amature move. However, it was too late to take it back as suspicion filled Theos dark eyes. The last thing she wanted was for him to draw his wand for no reason at all, and perhaps it were best he knew her plan. At least she could say goodbye now.
"'Tis me, Theo..." Her voice had dropped to a whisper. "Rose. It's an illusion charm." Taking a deep breath, Roslyn's eyes suddenly narrowed. Why had Theo turned up here of all places, right now? "What are you doing here?" Merlin knew it would've been in both of their best interests to cut this interaction short, but she had to know. "Didn't you get the letter I wrote?"

Not one bit of this made sense. With confusion, Theodore searched the forget-me-not blue eyes looking up at him, not at all taking in the age surrounding them, and found the truth. He not only saw the eyes matched the voice, he felt it all click into place the longer he gazed into their depths. "Why?", he nearly pleaded. Running off, even disguised as she was was illogical. Where was the self preservation?
"To find you of course." Surprised at the accusatory tone, Theo snapped back. "You've clearly not thought any of this through." He waved his hand at her, pointedly looking at their surroundings. Only a fool would think of staying at the Hog's Head in the best of conditions.

Roslyn couldn't quite grasp why Theo would go looking for her, her confusion clearly seen as she stared at him, lips slightly parted. She had thought Theo would be glad to have her out of his hair. "Why would you do such a silly thing?" Disbelief colored her tone as she shook her head. Realizing he too had asked a question, Roslyn took another deep breath.
"Listen... It's painfully obvious I havent a clue what I'm doing, I've never been on the run before. But I do know that staying with you should never have been an option. Don't you see how foolish it is to put yourself in danger for me?" Roslyn pleaded with him. "There are two ways this could end... I can live with my death Theo. But not yours..."
Shaking her head once again, Roslyn swallowed the lump in her throat. "There's nothing to really think about. I'm running Theo. I only stopped for rest and I figured this disguise was safe. I never thought you would come looking for me... I thought you were smart enough to take an out when it was offered. You don't owe me anything. So please just think of yourself. I'm already a dead woman, it's just a matter of time." It was a hard truth, but Roslyn knew she couldn't run forever.

Roslyn was spouting utter nonsense. Theodore thought he had made his intentions clear when he offered her refuge within his home. He was claiming responsibility for protecting her no matter the circumstances, because she was clearly a danger to herself. No, he wasn't yet ready to admit to himself there were other (more selfish) reasons for coming after her, but the longer he held her gaze it grew harder to ignore those such notions.
Nothing was going to get even remotely close to Roslyn, so long as she remained with Theo. His own father had flung Protection Charms, that would rival that of the Ministry's defenses, over every inch of Nott manor. Not to mention, the huge home was also Unplottable, and absolutely no one could arrive by Apparation or Floo without invitation. It was a fortress, and why Theodore spent so much of his time at home.
"Look, Roslyn...", Theodore began with his usual air of confidence flooding his tone and filling out his form. "You're being absurd. I'm here because you need help, yet you're too bloody stubborn to admit it. You know the safest place for you is with me, and I intend to return home with you."
He no longer saw an old woman standing before him (no, her Charm had not yet worn off) , but rather the pretty face he knew and was quickly growing more and more familiar with. How could he make her see he was right? Sure, they had their moments of disagreement because both were so hardheaded, but he without a doubt meant what he said. "I'll let nothing happen to you, Rose. I promise to keep you safe."

Never in all of Roslyn's years did she think she would meet someone who could certainly match her in stubbornness. She had always been headstrong, always had the personality of a person who followed their own path rather than what everyone else was doing. And yet here she was, face to face with her own steel will. If Theodore was anything like her she knew he wouldn't leave without getting what he had come for. But if she left with his so easily all of this, everything she was trying to do would have been for nothing.
Turning away from the wizard briefly, Roslyn took a moment to rethink her choices. She couldn't really ignore the facts that stood right in front of her. Theo had gone looking for her even when she had asked himhe not to, against her expectations. He seemed so sure and unafraid of the future, which was more than Roslyn could say for herself. He was the only thing solid in her life right now.
All this trouble for her... "Ok." Turning towards Theo, Roslyn let out the breath she had been holding. "Perhaps... You're right." She wasn't willing to admit she needed help out loud, but she hoped he could understand why. "I guess I'm trusting you on this one..."

"Clever, clever little Ravenclaw." , said Theodore, clearly pleased with Roslyn's reply. "Let me just settle up then..."
It took Theo less than a minute to pay for his wine, and any monies Roslyn might have owed before he returned to the witch's side...still old and gray. "You have everything?" He eyed her, and shook his head again at her aged form. "In that get-up you weren't getting very far. I'm mean really, Rose! You're lucky I caught up!" He knew he shouldn't be chastising Roslyn, he just couldn't help himself for he knew she was brighter than this.

Roslyn couldn't help rolling her eyes a bit at Theos chastising, which probably looked quite comical in her aged form. Granted this was one plan she hadn't thought all the way through, however she wasn't stupid. "I wasn't planning on staying in this form. And need I remind you, if I hadn't slipped and said your name you would have never found me Theo. It was an amature move on my part, but you must admit the disguise is clever."
Perhaps the Slytherin had rubbed off on her just a tad, as Roslyn straightened her posture -as much as she could- feeling the need to defend herself just a bit. Much like a raven who's feathers had been ruffled she smoothed out her cloak and held out her hand to Theo, brow lifted slightly in expectation.
"Are you going to hold my charm hostage?" No she hadn't forgotten the charm, which meant quite a lot to her. "It's one of a kind, I'd like it back if you don't mind."
