He smiled, and laughed and embraced her picking her up off her feet and then setting her back down again, taking her arm into his and sitting her down. He came around and faced her, "That is not all Madam...."He made a flicking move with his wand, "A 1970 Chenin Blanc South African White Wine." He popped the cork off and poured her a glass. "Non alcoholic." He added, sitting down across from her.

*laughs as he spins her around and sets her down, then smirks as he seats her, rolling her eyes*
I'm perfectly capable of drinking alcohol, Mr. Rookwood. But thank you, anyway.
*cringes at the words as she remembered her drunken state last night after coming home from the Hog's Head*
*wiggles her fingers over the cutlery, trying to decide what to take a nibble of first, before taking her fork and settling on the chicken*
So... might I ask whom the lady is?
*raises an eyebrow*

He smiled, his hands behind his head. "Its my speciality, I somehow managed to learn to de-alcoholize Wine and alcoholic drinks, though I rarely use that skill."
He was day-dreaming, flicking his wand, making the dishes wash themselves, he got up and mugglely dried them. "Girl, huh? What are you talking about?" He asked in response to Seraphina's question.

*her gazes follows him as he goes to the sink*
Oh, please. You're not fooling me. I've seen the way you look at her.
*rests her chin on her hand as she forks in a mouthful of chicken*
*swallows before speaking, grinning*
You fancy Ms. Carrow.

He feels his face turn red and goes to put the dishes away. "Isnt obvious then?" He joked. "I do. I just-" He paused for a second, cleaning out the sink. "I just can never, never bring myself to tell her." He laughed, wiping off the counters. "You can tell, I'm a guy, not good at this stuff."

*rolls her eyes, leaning back in her chair*
Well, well. Who would have thought that a big, bad Death Eater would be afraid of asking a lady out? Really, Mr. Rookwood, I'm surprised.
*gets unexpected pleasure out of teasing him*
*takes a bite of French bread*
*looks away innocently, in a nonchalant tone*
She fancies you too, you know.

Rookwood raised an eyebrow. "I doubt she does. Even if she does she probably wants me to make the first move." He sat down again, placing his head on his hand. "I dont know what that move is. I need help...." He admitted, trying not to laugh.

*chokes as she takes a sip of the non-alcoholic wine*
*grins*
You're asking for my help? Hmm. Suppose it's only fair then.
*sets her glass down, trying to hold in the laughter that threatened to burst from her chest*
Ms. Carrow's a strong woman. But even strong women appreciate a little effort and thoughtfulness. All I can really suggest to you is confidence and courtesy. Don't be intimidated by her, as it's a major put-off. She doesn't want or need a partner who's going to constantly walk on eggshells around her. Strong women want equals, not subordinates.
*takes a sip of wine*
As for the romance, just do what you just did, and whip up a nice dinner for her. Not only will she be impressed, you'll earn brownie points for thoughtfulness. Can't stress courtesy enough either. Just talk to each other, but most importantly, be willing to listen as well.

*shrugs*
Then leave her a note or something. Give a compliment about her. She notices, mark my words. All women do.

"Consider them marked." Rookwood said, quirking both eyebrows. "It sucks being alone sometimes if you know what I mean."

*chuckles, albeit half-heartedly*
Yes. I know what you mean.
*sighs, setting down the fork*
The truth is, I hate men. Never had a good relationship with any. My father wasn't exactly a shining role model, and my mother, well, she just made it worse with her excuses. But yes... it does get lonely sometimes.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Rookwood said, lowering his gaze from hers. "Thats probably why I killed my father, to save all the pain and trouble, I havent anyone in my family who cared about me except well maybe my mum if she wasnt drunk. I was nothing - no good back then."

*manages a slight smile, her gaze still downcast*
But you overcame that. You rose above it. I'm not sure I can ever forgive my father.

Rookwood rubbed the back of his neck, smirked lightly. "Seems we both havent had many models in our life."
