I wish my parents would get respectable jobs. My mother is in to not working and upholding family traditons. Truly, she has no time to do anything else but mind me and my five siblings and instill Slytherin Pride upon us loafty.....*stops, realizing she was talking to a Ravenclaw and a Hufflepuff* *coughs*
My father is all in to books and old magic items, it's a boring job and pays horribly but he loves it so....*holds up her bag, patched and frayed. It is obviously full of many large books...old books by the dusty smell*

Well, I am one for the books myself. *finally places his mug on his desk, checking his pocket watch*
And Miss Chimaera, if it is not too much to ask you to relate a bit about your family?
*He wonders what information she will give him...the Elias girl may already be of help*

Having observed this rather peculiar excuse for a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Priscilla is still seated at her desk, not quite sure what to make of him. She looks at him with piercing eyes, and that murky grin of hers lurking in the corners of her mouth.
"My father runs a private enterprise. If you wish to know more of it, I suggest you have a chat with him yourself. And what my mother does is, no offence, none of your business, sir."

*Aww, he thinks....indeed. If I ever need a dark object, well, I know who to contact.*
Fine by me. However, it is just that we will have a unit on dark objects and I was hoping students could participate any exposure to such. I do believe you and Miss Elias will be able to contribute much.

Wow, ritualism....this is really hard stuff.
*Thinks hard, doubting a lot of this is on the NEWT exam.*

I do believe you and Miss Elias will be able to contribute much. "Is that so, sir? Perchance you could enlighten me? In which way exactly would I be able to contribute, if you don't mind me asking, sir?" Priscilla looked at him innocently, but the tips of her hair seemed to be writhing ever so slightly in the corners of everyone's eyes.

*thrown a bit back, swallowing a huge gulp of air instead of that tea he constantly downs*
Miss Chimaera I do believe family is very old and well established in the Wizarding World. All old families have heirlooms and trinkets laying around the house *glances down* or in safe places that can be used in some way for the Dark Arts. I meant no offense to you, *nods* or you Miss Elias.
Ladies, everything has a balanced energy, a perfect combination of good and evil. The Dark Arts does not invoke evil, it inhibits good. Any item can be ritualized, a necklace, a crystal, sand....*smiles to the class*, my mug...

*Adjusts in seat and pulls out a pen and parchment writes what is on the board down.*
"Are you going to teach us how to enchant items of our own?" *Suddenly realizes that he mentioned his mug* "Your mug, Professor? Is it enchanted?" *eyes mug with new intrest*
"May I see it?"

*A large smile breaks across his face*
No, sorry. Usually ritualized items are very expensive....and pretty. *laughs* My Little sister made this when she was a first year....she turned out to be a Ravenclaw.....like yourself....and I may have yelled at her for being smart. *nervous chuckle* This was her, well, her "sorry I'm smarter than you" gift." Not magic, but dear none the less.
*Passes it over and continues to write on board*
Ritualized is to inhibit good and thus produce evil. Enchant means simply to charm. Deep Magic Enchantments are wandless charms, i.e. If three males from a single family sacrifice themselves for their family, the family is protected from Dark Magic and unnatural harm for a thousand years.

Priscilla gave him a sweet, almost sickly smile, but in her mind, numbers were ticking by, making small "notes to self" in the shape of arithmatic puzzles. Her smile went disturbingly secretive, and keeping half an eye on the professor, she turned to the sheet that had been handed out.

*Scoffs at mug behind the Professors back, and turns the hidious thing around in her hands.*
I wonder what would happen if it just slipped from my hands- Noelle! She scolded herself at her thought.
"Quite interesting, Professor" *Slides mug on table toward the professor, and refuses the urge to shove it off the table.*
