*He was about to give Gen a sarcy answer when leaves were dropped on his head and tangled in his hair.*
*He sat face front, arms outstretched leaning on the table with a slightly surprised look on his face.*
*He grumbled as he began trying to untangle the muck from his hair.*

When the teacher shouted at Ellie, Paul whimpered and dashed up her sleeve. Ellie looked accusingly at Ms. Black.
- You frightened him!
She had to admit, though grudgingly, that the teacher was probably right and the variety of scents and smells in the potions lab did not agree with the rat. Hoping nobody would touch her stuff, she took only the shoebox from her bag, placed Paul on his bed of chewed rags and left the room with the box under her arm.
On her way out, she stuck out the tip of her tongue at her fellow Ravenclaws, marched accidentally on the foot of the Gryffie midget, and whispered to Dinah:
- If you make double doses, for me too, until I am back, I tell you everything tonight!
The last thing she noticed before she closed the door was tea leaves raining on the snake boy, and it made her smile. ... even if she dates Blotts the Squirrel, she has personality.

Gen tried her best to hold back a giggle as she brushed a few tea leaves off her own sleeve, leaning over and whispering to Billows. "I suspect she's not too fond of Slytherins. What do you think?" She laughed, just then catching a glimpse of Ellie leaving the classroom with her pet rat in tow. Damn! There went that idea! she thought, disappointed. But she wasn't completely discouraged though. She'd come up with something else, of that she had no doubt.

*He sniffed as he got the last of the stuff off his shoulders, but who knows how long it would take to get it all out of his hair. He whispered but mostly to himself.*
Shouldn't be allowed.
*He would have quite liked to send a jinx or hex back at the teacher, but figured starting a fight might be a bit too stupid. He'd have to focus his energy elsewhere. The weird claw had gone, but left behind her bag. Billows looked at Gen and gave a sideways nod indicating the unguarded bag he had just spotted. They could do something here. The claw seemed chummy with the Prof and it would be suitable revenge in a roundabout way.*
You wanna try somethin'?

*she looked at Zelda and gave her a smile which quickly turned into a grimace when Ellie asked her to make an extra potion for her*
*whispered back, mainly to herself as Ellie had already left the room*
ok I'll try, but just as you know it, to me peppermint, sage and nutmeg are all the same thing. So don't complain if I mess it up.
*sneaks up to fetch a second kit*

Following her fellow students she walked forward, cautious not to run into anyone. With appropriate care she took one of each ingredient and carried them back.
At least the first step would be an easy one as most of the time. Yet you could never know how difficult it would turn out in the end. Still, some potions were harder to make than others. Tina hoped so much that it would be not too much of a trouble for her. Sighing in silence she began.

Jennessa glanced up at the teacher, jerking out of one of her daydreams, just in time to watch her send bits of one of the leaves all over that good looking Snake boy. She couldn't help but let a light giggle spring forth from her, ending in a snort, that petite hand being brought up to cover it. She glanced back to the teacher with quite the grin upon her face. This had been quite amusing... She also glanced to Ellie as she gathered up her rat at the teacher's command and headed out with her. Now... The snakes weren't the only ones who had noticed her leave her bag... This little Hufflepuff didn't hold any love for the Ravenclaw either... She also began wondering just what she could do to the bag and get away with...
She eyed it in silence, but also looked over to Dinah who seemed to be rather friendly with the idiot Claw. She huffed softly, not really wanting to upset her in the process, but really... Just a few little wand waves, send something from the bag across the room under the desks... That couldn't hurt could it? But alas the girl remained still, not drawing her wand, but instead starting on the first step that the Professor told them to do. Aw heck, she didn't even remember what they were making... And raising her hand to ask didn't seem all that great an idea to her... Ah well. Perhaps she would find out soon enough.

Zelda was in the process on cutting up her tea leaves when the Ellie girl stepped on her foot making her jump, knocking the pile of cut leaves onto the floor. "Credenza" She thought to herself. Luckly she figured she'd have enough for the potion, so she jump charmed the leaves into the trash can at the front of the room. "No matter, not the end of the world," Zelda thought with a smile as she brought the two teas to a boil and stirred them. They weren't as thick as the book said they should be, but perhaps time would help that.
She glanced to her left where the Jennessa was sitting. She looked confused, which wasn't something new. But she decided to keep an eye on the Hufflepuff, figuring that she could lend a hand if needed, not that she would be the most help in the world. Stirring the teas she waited, hoping that today's potion wouldn't be an absolute failure.

"You know I do. What did you have in mind?" This was great! She already had an accomplice against Ellie and she didn't even have to convince him to. It seemed that the stupid girl had a knack for making enemies without even trying. As they whispered to each other, Gen began cutting up her herbs and measuring the correct amounts. Good thing the water was already boiling because she didn't want to fall behind the rest of the class again. That's what called Miss Black's attention to her last time.

*Lu wanders around to inspect the progress of the students*
"Yes, that's quite okay. Set the teas aside to cool, and proceed with the Seer's sage. It's easy, just cut it, pour alcohol over it, and forget about it unti the last moment."
*she's fully aware that something is going on between the two Slytherins, but she doesn't mind, as long as they go on with preparing the elixir.*
"For the other two ingedients, don't forget to pestle them thorougly before steaming out the active substances."
__
[OOC - as always: don't try this at home! My ingredients do make a kind of Euphoria-Elixir, but the method is wrong. On purpose!]

*Dinah looked from she spoons she held in each hand, down to the four boiling cups of water on her desk and over to her potions book. Lifting her gaze she scouted the room to see what the other students were doing. Her gaze turned to Ellie's bag. Wanting to remain on Ellie's good side Dinah figured she should look after the bag while Ellie was gone. With the spoons still in her hands she tried to carefully grab hold of her wand. She managed to summon the bag and placed it next to her desk while spilling 2/3 of her potion ingredients on the floor*
*swearing silently under her breath she tried to summon the lump of the wasted ingredients, gathering more dust and rat droppings than herbs*
*thinks* oh well, it's just charming with some dust in the potions

Fully focused on her work she did not pay much attention on what the others were doing. For now things had been running smoothly, thank God. Just having finished cutting the leaves Tina poured the necessary amount of alcohol on them, exhaling slowly to prepare herself for the next step. Hopefully it would continue as easy.

Ellie stormed back into the classroom. She had made a little stop at the kitchens to get Paul a treat and nicked some pasties for herself. She fell down on her seat and looked at the table next to her where Dinah juggled with her spoons.
- Thank you for keeping my stuff safe!
*She placed a chicken pasty on Dinah's lap and grinned.
- To make the brewing more tasty! Did I miss much?
*Ellie started to scrape half of Dinah's exploits into her dishes, not caring if there was dust in it or not.*

*Annoyingly, the bag had been moved to a place where it could be watched, and not long after, the owner had returned. Whatever they had decided to do would have been much more fun than mixing potions.*
*He gave Gen a look of annoyed disappointedness, then started reading from her book.*
*Now he was left to get on with the boring stuff, carefully preparing the ingredients following the step by step guide. He wasn't all that interested, but when he had a task, he did his best to do it properly.*

Zelda started crushing the last two ingredients to the degree that the book called for. Her seer's sage wasn't turning the proper shade of green that the book called for after the alcohol was poured over it, but she wasn't sure if she should wait it out or maybe pour more over it, if she hadn't poured enough the first time.
Glancing around she checked the other students' progress to make sure she wasn't falling behind. Luckily it seems that they were same stage she was, but she had no definite way to see if her's looked the same as the others. She feared messing up, like the time she melted her cauldron making the Hiccuping Solution last week. Her fear of failure was hindering her again, but perhaps she was doing it right this time, nothing was smoking, it didn't smell horrible, nothing was on fire, maybe today's would be acceptable.
