Professor Snapes Office[7]

[Severus Snape]

Severus walked triumptly into Dumbledore's old office, it was his now, and he looked around at it with satisfaction. He hung his black cloak on the coat stand and walked behind his desk. Sitting down he smiled to himself.

He then set to work with the mountain of parchments he had been given by McGonagall. He had to get everything in order before the new year started.

*knocks confidently on the door and awaited a reply*

[Severus Snape]

*looks up from his work at the knock*

Enter

[Scarlett Payne]

*elegantly walks into the Headmasters office and stands infront of the desk*

"I recieved your owl Headmaster, you wished to speak to me about my summer classes?"

[Severus Snape]

Yes Miss Payne, take a seat

*moves the papers to the side and leans back in his chair*

I need you to give me a list of the students who will be attending your classes. I need to know who will be remaining at Hogwarts over the holidays.

[Scarlett Payne]

*sits down stiffly in the solid wood chair and tucks her hair behind her ear.*

"I haven't got a final list of students as of yet, I have gave them until the end of the week to decide if they would like to part take or not. Some wish to take the classes throughout the week and visit their family in the weekend. It is their summer holidays after all."

*chews her bottom lip in thought*

"I will teach any number of students that wish to take my classes, no matter how small the number might be. If there is minds to teach then I may as well teach them something useful."

*her crisp Irish accent shinning through as she spoke*

*smirks*

How touching, the Professor who cares

*voice dripping with sarcasm, then authoritatively.*

Fine Miss Payne, as soon as you have a completed list I will need to see it.

The students staying will need to supply written permission from their parents, make sure you let them know

*looks down at his parchment and starts working again, making it clear the meeting is over*

[Scarlett Payne]

*looks sternly at Snape, her ice blue eyes flashing angrily*

"Yes well it is ones duty as a Professor to care for the students. After all that is why we are here."

*stands up and looks down her nose at the new Headmaster*

"Once I have the list you shall know Headmaster. Good day to you."

*flounces out of the office, her blonde hair swinging madly to her footsteps*

[Severus Snape]

*smirks as she leaves not bothering to respond to her rantings or look up from his parchments*

[Professor Giles]

*knocks, shifting a bit uneasily as hoping his summer research is decent enough excuse for his lateness*

[Severus Snape]

*hears the knock and looks up from the book he was reading by the fire, a glass of wine on the table beside him. Wondering who would be calling at this hour he frowns darkly*

Enter.

*he calls*

[Professor Giles]

*closes the door behind him, clearing his that a bit*

I received your owl. I am sorry to say it laid abandoned on my desk for so long. I was out of the county.

*walks further in, noting the changes since the last time he was here when he was hired.*

[Severus Snape]

*looks up from his chair as the Professor walks in*

As it is the holidays and you clearly don't have any classes at the moment, I hardly expected you to be around all the time.

*he tells him in response to his feeling the need to make excuses for his not coming sooner*

Drink?

*He motions for Giles to sit down*

[Professor Giles]

*nods a bit, relieved*

Thank you, I think I will.

*takes a seat*

Adjusting to all your new duties alright, sir?

[Severus Snape]

*pours Giles a drink with a lazy flick of his wand and the glass floats to him*

Wine is alright I hope?

*nods curtly*

Things are slowly being sorted out, yes. It is taking time though, McGonagall has done a very poor job I must say! But I am finally making some head way.

*takes a sip of wine and looks into the fire for a moment*

I have asked you here because I need to discuss your plans for your class next term.
