Two doors remain, coming from both are the sounds of metal machinery.

~~As she blows upon it, the eagles light fades and the panel disappears into the wall as the others did.~~
~~The wall begins to shudder and two columns appear side by side, before sliding apart to reveal a passageway between them leading on to the next room.~~
~~Ahead of her is a wide chasm, with floating rock platforms providing the path across.~~
~~Upon each of the platforms a letter is marked.~~

~~Zero Quinn~~~~The memory of the wedding day fades.~~ ~~Zero is now in a hazy white room that seems to go on forever, not a memory, but still clearly within the pensieve.~~ ~~Out of the haze appears Venus, a sadness in her face as she still hurts from the wedding day, she looks to the ground as she approaches him.~~ ~~She speaks:~~ Why, Zero? After all that we shared. How could you? *The scene once again changes before his eyes, thus reminding him that this isn't real, the sights he sees are only memories. The thought calms him some, and he recognizes Venus once again. This time she looks like her heart has been crushed.* *Another wave of guilt washes over Zero as he regards her expression, and the sound of her voice nearly causes him to tremble. Her question echoes throughout his mind, and he is suddenly blessed with the memory of his darling Sebastian. Venus' question triggering this response.* *Hesitantly* I - I couldn't l - live with myself knowing that I cannot l-l-love y-you as you d-deserve. *Drops his eyes from the replica of Venus, the truth of his words taking the weight of the world off of his shoulders. Inhaling deeply to continue with his explanation, Zero lifts his brilliant green eyes to the witch he was to marry.* *Softly* I...love a-another...m-more... |

~~Severus Snape~~~~The little girl, still sniffing, peers out from her cage and sees the man below her.~~ Please sir... help me... ~~Tears stream down her face, she is absolutely terrified.~~ *The moment the girl's voice reaches his ears a corner of his tight lips twitches, and he drops his eyes back down to the pit before him.* Help you... *With another glance upward, and across the pit, Severus raises a hand to the lever, resting it there lightly before raising his wand to aim at the rope above the girl's cage.* *Confidence rings out in his voice as he calls out the incantation for a Levitating Charm, and at the same time he pulls down on the lever to expand the bridge.* Wingardium Leviosa! |

~~Left for the others are the two doors where metal clanks and gears grind.~~ ~~Rodolphus LeStrange~~~~The rock formations move and close the passageway behind him as he passes through the door.~~ ~~The room stays blindingly bright.~~ ~~The room is circular with a pool of water in the middle.~~ ~~Above the pool floats a huge fireball, which is giving out most of the light.~~ ~~A stone tablet near the entry reads:~~ Use your magical skills to survive.~~The fireball begins to grow at a steady pace, beginning to fill the room.~~ *Blinded slightly by the light coming from the fireball he just manages to read the stone tablet* *Steps back the fireball grows quickly and points his wand towards it* Reducio! Aguamenti! |

Two doors remain, coming from both are the sounds of metal machinery. ~~Sebastian Bordeaux~~~~As he lights his wand, the floor evens out and the darkness transforms to light.~~ ~~The corridor still stretches out ahead of him, but between him and what could lead to an exit is a wall of flame.~~ *Squints as his eyes adjust to the light, smiling his relief that his attire may be safe and sound without the horrid jagged stairs. Once the wall of flame is seen Sebastian groans his displeasure.* Oh, rot! *Aims his wand toward the flames, trying the simplest spell he can think of.* Aguamenti! Aguamenti! |

O ... no, there are not the right letters for Ophion. And Nidhögg is rather a dragon... so it's more likely metaphorical." *counts the letters, and takes a deep breath, not quite sure, but knowing she has to start somewhere she steps forward to the first row on to the platform with the S* *nods satisfied when the platform holds and she doesn't vanish into the precipice* "Good, it's Salazar then!" *hops to the A in the second row, and almost loses balance when she steps aside on the L, because she was looking for the next letter in the next row.* *concentrates now and proceeds until the R in the last row* |

*Apparates in, brushing a few strands of hair out of her eyes and blushing profusely. She bows deeply to the Dark Lord.*

*Steps hurriedly into the maze, her heart pounding as she regards what is sure to come with both anticipation and dread. She has no idea what will be found inside, and tells herself that she is prepared for anything. If she believes it, she tells herself, perhaps it will be true.*
*Upon reaching the multitude of doors, she takes a deep breath.*
Here I go. Let's get this over with.
*She wrenches back one of the doors on the other side of which machinery can be heard. As she steps forward, the sound almost deafening, she reminds herself that there is no turning back now. The door seals itself shut.*

Only one door remains for Valley, coming from which is the sounds of metal machinery. ~~Zero Quinn~~~~She hears his response and swallows as the tears spill from her cheek.~~ ~~She stands for a moment trying to speak but fails and falls to her knees, her tears pouring out.~~ What will I do? ~~Severus Snape~~~~The bridge extends and cuts the rope, but the levitation charm keeps the cage floating.~~ ~~The girl stops screaming as she sees what is happening around her, but she grips the bars with a look of shock, her cheeks still wet from tears.~~ ~~She sees the man below her waving a wand and saying strange words.~~ What's happening? ~~Rodolphus LeStrange~~~~The fireball is quickly put out by his spells, but no sooner has it gone does the pools water level begin to rise, quickly coming to ankle depth and steadily deepening.~~ ~~Sebastian Bordeaux~~~~His water douses the flame and it dies out.~~ ~~Ahead of him beyond where the flames were is a portcullis held down only by weights barring further travel down the corridor.~~ ~~Gabriel Rosier~~~~The running man remains.~~ ~~Lucretia Black~~~~Lucretia is free to move on to the next room.~~ ~~The next room is a large room resembling an arena.~~ ~~Near to her entrance is a lever.~~ ~~An inscription by it on the wall reads:~~ Pull this to release the magical seal.~~At the other end of the arena within a lightly glowing dome is a prowling manticore.~~ ~~Behind the dome is a locked door attached to a large vial.~~ ~~An inscription there reads:~~ To open the door, the vial must be filled with six pints of blood.~~The beast growls menacingly.~~ Only one of us can leave alive. ~~Jolie Fier~~~~The doorway is sealed behind her forcing her to go on towards her first task.~~ ~~Inside the room the sounds of machinery and gears gets louder.~~ ~~It is a large room, though a narrow stone walkway is all that allows her to cross a chasm that seperates her from the exit.~~ ~~Five blades on pendulums swing across the bridge threatening to slice anyone who touch them.~~ ~~They swing at varying speeds, the first slow, and gradually the swings are faster until the fifth which allows no time for anyone to step past.~~ |

The sight of the witch before him pulls at his heartstrings, and he nearly falls to his own knees, only able to hold himself up because he knows that this isn't real, he is still within the Pensive.* *Swallowing hard himself, he bites his lip for a moment, searching for delicate words, telling himself mentally, "She isn't Venus...she isn't Venus..."* Y-You will...move on. Find the l-love of one...more...deserving. |

I could probably make it through the first few...* *Timing her movements to the best of her ability, she attempts to keep her balance while slipping past the first blade. Smiling to herself, she moves a bit faster and passes the second. Now feeling fairly confident, she quickens her pace and moves past the third blade. But not quick enough. The blade tears a hole in the back of her robes, and she finds herself exceedingly thankful that it wasn't her head the swinging object came in contact with.* That was far too close for comfort. *She glances down at the blackness below her, and immediately wishes she hadn't. The height of the walkway over the chasm is intimidating, and she tries to push it from her mind.* *Running faster than she has since her entrance, she passes the fourth blade, her mind and pulse racing. I've almost made it...* *She sees the speed of the fifth blade as a problem. She realizes that she isn't quick enough to make it to the other side, not relying on physical ability alone. What can I do to keep the blade from moving...? Not moving... immobile... She then realizes that the answer is in the question. She aims at the final blade, timing her spell to hit its target on the upswing.* Immobulus! *The blade freezes in the air, and she runs past it. Breathing deeply, she surveys her surroundings for her next task.* |

*Sylvan stands up from the desk and looks down to the final riddle offered and then looks to the target that has appeared. Walking over to examine it before making a soft sound of curiosity.*
The whole of the target is the key...
*Does this mean she must hit the whole target to open the door or something more subtle? It's always best to go with one's first instinct. Examining the target fully before looking to the door.*

~~The ladder comes down inside a cave which was once full of water.~~
~~On the opposite side of the cave is another hole in the ceiling leading to the next room.~~

~~Having successfully made it past the first challenge, the next room provides another test.~~
~~A box of items sits in one corner, and a bin in the other.~~
~~The box contains a teapot, a spoon, a teddy bear, a clock, a noose, a cup and a pack of cards.~~
~~On a table in the middle is some parchment with a riddle on it.~~
It goes on and on but gets nowhere,
It is often watched, but never sees,
When long brings boredom,
When short brings fear,
