You are indeed right Antonin. This is something that can be done just this one time.
*He thought about his other suggestion.*
Knockturn Alley may be difficult though. It has a reputation for welcoming those sympathetic to our cause. It may be too obvious a set up. I believe a more neutral ground would be preferable. The more a place of supposed safety it is, the better.
*He began running through possible targets in his mind.*

*It had been quite sometime, Rookwood was involved in some activity. His physical decay led him nowhere, failing to cope up with the Lord's orders, he was expecting to win some trust back. Now that the Potter boy was dead, the only thing he or the whole Death Eaters camp should worry about is the Order, they needed more hostages.*
*He shuffled his way across the hall, right into the Lounge, not expecting anyone but Lucius (& a glass of wine of course). He was quite taken aback spotting Dolohov, accompanying Lucius. The whole Carrow-plan, they both were associated to hit him back, obviously for the fact that it did not turn out the way they had planned.*
*With a cold expression, he interrupted*
Am I welcome at this ungodly hour?

*He was surprised at the unexpected visit of another colleague but held out a hand in a gesture that Rookwood take a seat.*
Augustus. It has been a long time my friend. Come in. Antonin and I were discussing our next move.
*He clicked, expecting an elf to hurriedly bring more drinks.*

*Spotting an elf, he murmured*
Red Wine.
*He gently strode towards the couch, and seated himself comfortably. He took time and examined his surrounding, noticing particularly the artifacts the Malfoys boasted about, something he did not ever get a chance to do when it came to his own Rookwood Manor.*
So this next move you talk about, Lucius..
*He said, looking around absent mindedly*
Arent we supposed to act? We cannot afford to let the situation lose its intensity.
*He asked with certain concern & arrogance.*

That is exactly what we are discussing Augustus. Antonin and I were trying to decide where best to set our trap.
*He paused and looked back and forth between Dolohov and Rookwood.*
Any suggestions?

*Rookwood, who'd been looking elsewhere all this while, suddenly turned his eyes towards the gentlemen seated in front of him, he stooped forward throwing intense stares at both of them. Some rumours he'd come across were starting to get to him, he clearly wanted to know facts.*
Before any of that, Lucius? Could you tell me about this guy I've been constantly hearing about? Heap.

Dolohov nodded in agreement with Lucius, setting up the ambush at Knockturn would be like hunting for pigs in the wolf's own house. "Perhaps we should..." Before Dolohov could suggest his next local, Rookwood entered the room.
There was obvious history between the two elder Death Eaters, Dolohov was the oldest of the three and one of the Darklord's original followers, but Rookwood was (like Lucius) slippery and trusted within the Darklord's inner circle. Lucius and Dolohov could get alot of aid from the former Unspeakable.
Dolohov listened quietly as the two Death Eaters chatted, his wine glass slowly weeding down sip by sip. "I have heard of him, he was a rather odd fellow during the battle. From the German Ministry? Seems a bit dodgey that the continent would send him alone to us."

*He took a long drink.*
Heap? So you have heard of him too? No one to be too concerned with I should think. Someone with aspirations to be among our ranks, though from his record so far, I doubt he will make much progress.
*He placed his glass aside onto a small table and relaxed.*
I believe we have more interesting things to discuss. You were saying Antonin?

"Yes, yes, how I love imposters," Dolohov said with a hint of annoyance. Someone of the caliber of Heaps had not been the first to arrive in the lands of the Death Eaters proclaiming to be a powerful member of the Darklord's legions outside of Britain. Most Death Eaters treated those supposed dark wizards and witches with a long arm, they were not to be trusted.
"What about Hogsmeade? It is away from London, close to Hogwarts, but also close to the Forbidden Forest. We could take the unfortunate auror who well will weap for later, torture and kill them in the Forest and place blame on the nasties that live in the Forest... Centaurs perhaps." Anything close to Hogwarts would be difficult to pull off, it was a stronghold of Order supporters, but almost entirely impregnable. Hogsmeade on the other hand, was far enough out of the way for the Death Eaters to get intelligence on Order members outside of Hogwarts.

*He put his fingers to his lips and thought.*
Yes. Hogsmeade is a good choice. If we can make the necessary arrangements to ensure our success, it should be most agreeable.
*His concerns lay with getting an unwilling Auror from Hogsmeade to the forest, though that part of the plan was in Dolohovs hands. His own duty would be to have a target meet him there and find an excuse for himself to spare him blame.*

*As he hurried about bringing more refreshments for his master and the guests, he heard them talking of evil plots. It had been a long time since that type of conversation had taken place in the manor and he had not missed it. He had even started to believe his master had truly left those ways behind.*
*He held up a tray of drinks for Dolohov.*

*Rookwood, pushed himself against the padded chair and patiently grasped the basic thought these gentlemen were discussing over. His face twitched the moment the words, "Hogsmeade" and "Hogwarts" hit his eardrum. He did not believe the suggested place to be an apt one, and doubted if it'd produce desired results.*
Let me interrupt you there, Dolohov. Dont you think execution in an area as vulnerable as Hogsmeade, could possibly back fire? Our maneuvers have progressed so good so far, we dont want to worsen things, do we?
*His pejorative expressions, made it very clear how repulsed or disappointed he was with the way things were being discussed.*
And yes, before you derive your own conclusions over that statement, and start calling me names. Here's my contribution to the thought, if we have to take risks, by which here I mean attack vulnerable places, why not the Grimmauld Place straight away? We definitely have a few casualties from the Battle of Burrow?
*This wasnt typical of Rookwood, but considering his recent endeavors, you could say he'd developed something. That sentence, was plain mockery but it did have some substance to it.*

*He thought about Rookwoods suggestion. It was not without merit, but he felt less confident about it.*
That's a possibility. We know that the Order have a safehouse somewhere in that area, but no one has ever been able to find out just exactly where it is. We may end up setting ourselves up for ambush there. You may lay in hiding to find ourselves sat on their doorstep. And the last thing we want is for our outnumbered Auror to find reinforcement.
*He took a fresh drink from his elf and swirled it absent mindedly, simply wanting something in his hand rather than needing the refreshment.*
My other reservation would be that it would be difficult for me to find an excuse to lead someone there. Hogsmeade may offer any number of reasons.
*He finally took a sip.*
Although, I understand Rookwoods concern that Hogsmeade may be too public.
*The choice would likely always be a difficult one, but careful planning would make all the difference.*

*Rookwood, personally did not want to be agnostic about the whole issue, what he'd done was put forward his simple opinion. He did not care of the two interpret it, neither did he believed in making the effort to explain himself, social conventions were one thing he hated.*
Dolohov, whats your take?
*He carefully lifts the crystal goblet, and sips his Red Wine.*

Dolohov knew what Rookwood was meaning, always the thinker that one. Dolohov was not any less sneaky or clever, he lasted for almost 4 years after the supposed death of the Darklord before being caught. Ignoring the house elf, Dolohov took a new drink from the tray, placing the old one back in its place.
I staked out Grimmauld Place for almost 2 weeks straight, I saw almost no one enter or leave. Those who I managed to see, escaped before I could even close within a 100 yards. The house itself could be littered with traps. After all, it could still be the headquarters of the Order and they are not known to be laxing in their defensive barriers. Breaking into the Burrow was hard enough, taking on the Headquarters of the Order would not be sound right now... even with Potter dead.
Hogsmeade was open and public but the attack, however, would take place away from the streets and in a confined area. Dolohov would be responsible for making sure the attack did not spiral out of control, but that depended on those he would choose to sally forth with him for a little skulduggery.
"Hogsmeade is open, I will give you that, but they won't be expecting us to attack them in our backyard. Draco planned out the death of Dumbledore there and was only identified by Potter. With him dead, the cleverness and intrepidness of the Order is gone. The actual attack will happen away from the streets. If it does provoke a response by the Order directly at us, my chosen group will take care of it."
