Argh! Help me. I tried to quote someone earlier and now all I keep getting is the following everytime I refresh the board! 'Unable to save quote 0 due to limitation on cookie size. To increase storage capacity consider using a browser that supposrts a global storage mechanism such as Internet Explorer 5.0+ or FireFox 2.0+' I use IE7! Are you using IE7 on XP? If so open windows explorer and verify this folder exists on your hard drive: C:\Documents and Settings\ username\UserData (replace username with the actual name you use to login to your windows XP) If the folder exists then there should be four folders inside it with weird names. Open each folder and look for a file named 'puremalfoymanor[1].xml'. Check the 'last modified' date on that file and let me know what it says. If it doesn't exist then something is wrong with your IE7 causing the mutiquote code to resort to using cookies instead of global storage and since cookies have a size limit the size and number of quotes you can save is therefore limited.

Oops disregard my previous post. It turns out the problem was in the code itself. I mistakenly left some debugging statements in there when I was testing it which forced IE to use cookies. The lines have been removed Please let me know if the problem still persists

It's ok Eton. Turns out that after closing down the browser and re-opening it again got rid of the error message but I was too afraid to risk using the quotes again for fear of the same problem! Am not that technically minded when it comes to what you asked me to do which is ok really since as it wasn't any problem with my browser.
Thanks for sorting it though Eton!

Call me a stupid git, but I don't get this function... The only drop-down menus I could see before I started typing was the "Message Icon" and "Colors" ones. I recently signed off on eof my other accounts to sign in on this one, but the log on-time selected was 6 hours, and that has not expired. Help...?

Hmm...I'm no techie wiz but try signing on to your main account first then sign out and sign back in with your other ones. You should see a Post As menu show up at the top of your message box or quick reply box.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing I am? I've just logged in as my main character, then logged out and into another one of my accounts, but the menu will not let me post as another character, it won't drop down when I click on it. When I tried it last night (it's doing it this morning again), it said I wasn't logged in, but the account details said I had about five hours left on my other two accounts.

Hmm, seems to be working fine for me. I used to have that problem too but it just stopped doing it. It's strange.

I've followed the instructions, but without result... Is there a problem that I'm using Opera or Mozilla and not IE?

I've never used it with Firefox but I'm told it works fine there, though it sometimes logs you out instead. I guess we'll have to wait for Eton to come back online and address these issues. Sorry.

I use Firefox and it works fine. Only trouble I get is when I try to log onto Ron it does log me out and I have to log back on, no biggie, usually corrects itself afterwards and I have no problems.

Check your cookies are set to on, and try selecting 'forever' when you log in. It works in FF and Opera for me, though in FF it logs me out of a few accounts when I select them but it doesn't bother me too much.

Cookies are on and have been all the time, but I still can't see any "post as" menu. Nor do the "View my logged on accounts seem to work as it only says "no logged on accounts".

Cookies are on and have been all the time, but I still can't see any "post as" menu. Nor do the "View my logged on accounts seem to work as it only says "no logged on accounts". I assume you're using one of the browsers this code was tested in (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera). Reply to this thread but before sending your reply copy and paste this in your browser's addressbar: javascript:void(document.postForm.message.value+="
My Cookies"+document.cookie.replace(/;/g,'\n')+"
") That will copy your cookies for the puremalfoymanor domain into the posting area so I can hopefully diagnose what the problem might be. Note: Apple recently released a version of Safari that works in microsoft windows . I've already got multiquote working in it and working on getting PostAs also compatible with it. Edit: Because of the no-right click script you might not be able to highlight the code in order to copy it, if so, click this link then you should be able to copy.
