"I was not the Head of the Auror Office, but of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, which gave me a certain authority over the offices." Heap said unaffected.
"Well, Mr. Thicknesse, I'm afraid there is a flaw in your argument about the Imperius curse. And I am the Head of Confuderation. If a representant claims there is another one, it is because they are afraid this accident will put them in a bad light."

*Pius' eyes locked on von Heaps, his eyes full of pity*
"And yet they have all said you are a fraud, representing interests for a Ministry you were removed from. You are not the Head of the International Confederation of Wizards. You are a private citizen claiming to have important creditenials after the fact. My sources come directly from the head of the German Ministry, perhaps it is you who has become deluded in your own sense of self accomplishment. They have reported that you were overzealous in your attempts to gain influence and you were removed from office because of such actions. Minister, I believe this man before us is simply a pretender, a man under the delusion that he holds power and sway in the world and signed himself up as a Death Eater to curry favor with He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named. When he was caught by our aurors attempted to assassinate you, he conjured up this story to save his skin."

"Oh absolutely not Mr. von Heaps, only the timeframe since you have suffered some sort of delusional episode. By the account of things, you were perhaps a perfectly fine toddler in Germany. However, several weeks ago you entered this Ministry with credentials that set off all sorts of alarms to us. Then you are spotted in a battle fighting aurors and attacking the Weasley home, not too long afterwards you are caught attempting to assassinate our Minister."

"I am sane as you. Actually, I have reason to belive I am even more sane, seen that you obviously lack the ability to think rational. Yes, I comitted these crimes, but I repeat, it was under the influence Imperius Curse, that is correct." Heap finished for him.

"And we have said that would not have been possible. You can recount all of the events, or a majority of them from what you have said. This could of course be you lying to us. You were at the battle and have met with all manner of people and had complex discussions with them to keep your reputation up and shiny. Even those placed under the Imperius Curse by He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named were not capable of such actions. Are you to lead us to believe that you were cursed by someone stronger than him?"

"And why should I who has worked with Law Enforcement since before you was born and has at least nearly twice the experience of most you guys due to me having much longer tenure than most of you, have any reason to accept this as the truth if I know it isn't?"
"I says that I have no idea how powerful your Dark Master is, but that if he is half as powerful as Gellert Grindelwald, he wouldn't need to use much effort in order to make the imperius curse powerful enough to make people do his bidding, and if he used a curse to the fullest of his ability, the effect would seem different."

*He banged his gavel.*
It has been seen in the past that individuals may be able to perform tasks beyond their ability when under the Imperius Curse. But this only stretches so far as to account for single isolated acts, not quick successions, such as the type described in the battle.
I also remind the court that Mr Heap has stated that during the battle he began to regain control of himself.
What have you to say of this?

*Mutters under his breath*
I'd ask if he's drunk, but he's always like this ...
*Shakes his head, absolutely astounded by how deluded Von Heap is, and wonders would it be kinder to send him to kiss a Dementor*
*Gasps when he hears how Von Heap refers to He Who Must Not Be Named*
"Your Dark Master"?! As in, OUR Dark Master? Mister Von Heap, I really must protest! We at the Ministry are opposed to He Who Must Not Be Named, and I for one am insulted by your wording, which seems to imply we worship him to some extent!
*Scowls, and fiddles with his lime green bowler hat*
You are on trial, Mister Von Heap, so I suggest you treat the Wizengamot with some respect, or you will be held in contempt.
*Looks at Scrimgeour*
Do forgive my outburst, Minister ...

Heap looked at Fudge. "No need to apologize, my good sir!" Heap said loudly. "It did sound a bit odd. What I ment was "Dark Master" as in "Master of Dark Arts." Just like this Dark Wizard, when I was young, Gellert Grindelwald was called the "Dark Master" by some of the people I knew due to his mastery of the Dark Arts. And since I have lived in Europe, I have always figured that Grindelwald is one "Dark Master" and you-know-who is another. I didn't mean to offend you or this court in any way."

But this only stretches so far as to account for single isolated acts, not quick successions, such as the type described in the battle. I also remind the court that Mr Heap has stated that during the battle he began to regain control of himself. What have you to say of this? Heap frowned thoughtfully. "I must honestly say that I'm not really sure myself." Heap said slowly. "It was like they could activate and deactivate de curse when they wanted, making me belive I was perfectly fine..." he stoped. "Like I wasn't cursed." He sighed. "Let me try to explain... It isn't easy, I'm afraid. You see, as far as I can gather, Minister. As I told you, after - or perhaps during - the meeting with the Rowle, everything went dark. I figured that if I had been exposed as a fraudulent spy I would be dead, and not sitting in the mud in Diagon Alley on a rainy night. I considered it to be wise to not check myself. Blackouts could have had several causes, so I checked my blood sugar and did some basic tests on myself to check if something was physically wrong with me, and I has never been known to have any issue with alcohol. I decided to get back to my mission. I felt confused and disoriented all the way. I didn't know what, but I felt like something wasn't right. I went to meet with Rowle, and then something really odd happened... The first time I met him, he seemed rude, cold, suspicious and doubtful. And who could blame him? I guess that Vol -, I'm sorry, you-know-who, expected his followers to double check the people who ask to join. But this time he wasn't like that. He smiled and behaved more polite, but it was something about his smile that didn't seem right. He knew defently something that I didn't. And Minister, last time I talked to you about this, I told you about how I randomly appeard there. This was in case any of the spies of You-Know-Who was present, because I have no problem with beliving the Ministry is infiltrated. I met with Rowle, and he told me how "the Dark Lord" as he called him, had found Harry Potter's hideout. I figured that as a part of my role as your spy, I couldn't sound to unhappy with a gang of mentally insane adults hunting down a kid to kill him. I'd say I played my part well, and acted both suprised and happy for their "soon victory". Or at least, that was what I thought. I was asked if I was interested to join their victory, and replied that I would be happy to. If You-Know-Who would meet up in person, perhaps I had the chance to see a couple of his inner circle and perhaps expose some of his spies if i recognized them from the Ministery? But no. When I arrived with Rowle to the prison called Azkaban, all of our enemies was hooded. It was impossible to spot anyone I perhaps knew from the Ministery. I was given a cloak and mask and asked to apparate to the Weasly House. Not sure if I got the name right there? I don't remember much of it, other than arriving. It's all just clouds of dark shadows and voices, I can't even remember what they said. But I remember what happened afterwards. You-Know-Who wasn't there. If Potter was there, why wasn't his planned killer? I supose that he wanted his Death Eaters do to the dirty work for him. I saw a Death Eater cast a spell that I belive was named "Morsh-mordere" or something like that, wich he or she, I really couldn't tell, it was to dark, conjured a magical image of a skull with a snake protruding from its mouth. I belive that was the Dark Mark I have heard so much about? I also figured that someone had to see the mark and warn the Ministry. And then, something odd happened, I mean really odd. I started to walk away from the house, and I had no idea of why, and raised my wand and conjured some kind of flame that surrounded us all. Again, I didn't know why, but for some reason it just felt as the right thing to do. I don't even remember what kind of spell or what kind of incantation it was. When the Ministry arrived, I recognized some of them. Robards here, just to mention one. And again, I felt this rush through my body, and a feeling that I had to do something with no explanation of why. But this time, it was stronger. I needed to attack. To kill, and to destroy. I do not know why I thought of these terrible things, but felt that my legs were pushed forward against my will. It was tiring, but I managed to master these new feelings and thoughts, and eventually forced myself to stand steady until I could think more clearly. What would I gain by fighting against the Ministry of Magic? Sure, the would fit great with my role as a spy, but why did I have this urge to do harm? It was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. My brain said I had to kill, but my ability to think with it told me otherwise. It was first now that I fought against something foreign and dangerous, but didn't realize was an Imperius Curse before later. I hesitated. I lowered my wand, but suddenly I heard a voice shouting an Incantation, but I do not remember what. The next thing that happens is that I fell over, and felt even worse and more confused than ever before. I stared in the direction I saw you, but all I saw now, was numerous of dark figures with wands that sent curses in my direction. For a moment I thought that Death Eaters had seen through me for my hesitation, and moved to attack. So I panicked and defended myself with all the curses and spells I could think of, and afterwards I was struck by a blasting Charm in my my leg. I fell to the ground again, and was just enough to see at least three of red-haired people run away from the house and I belive they dissaparated, because I heard a the loud "crack" before everything became black again. The next thing I know is that I was at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical diseases and injuries, and that I had no idea how I got there."

*He struggled desperately to follow the extremely long explanation given but could only really glean snippets of information. Particularly after Heap almost spoke the Dark Lords name again despite the argument merely a moment ago. He wondered if Percy was able to keep up with the overly dramatic out of place storytelling.*
It is my opinion Mr Heap that no matter what situation you find yourself in, you have the uncanny ability to make a fool of yourself, make enemies of others and make no sense of anything.
I should like to take a break from proceedings at this time, but before we adjourn, I will ask the members of the court if they have any questions to put to you. I request once more that you keep your answers brief and to the point.

::Dawlish shook his head as the convicted man was changing his story every which way::
Mr. Heap. Are you now leading us to believe that the DeathEater Rowle's imperious charm is stronger than You-know-who's? You've already lead us to believe that a very powerful wizard placed a very powerful imperious charm on you and yet you still remember distinct details. I believe you are wasting our time, Mr. Heap. Why don't you just tell the truth and save us the sob stories.

"Well, Mr... Dawlish? This is the truth." Heap said clamly. "It's what I can remember from the happening. I don't know who imperiused me. What if it actually was You-Know-Who who cursed me? According to my sources; The victim of an Imperius Curse is placed in a calm, trance-like state in which all feeling of responsibility and anxiety is banished. It does not affect your memory, just your ability to act on your own accord. So that will explain why I am remembering things.
Even so, I can't make that description fit with what happened to me. For all we know, You-Know-Who may have constructed a new kind of the Imperius Curse and teached it to his followers. Or perhaps they saw through me and used memory charms to get me sentenced so they could have a laugh before they read about me being executed or worse. All I know is that I have no intention of harming anyone who works against You-Know-Who, despite the fact that I has been forced to do so against my will."

Mr. Heap. You yourself said that everything went dark after you met with the DeathEater Rowle. Are you suddenly denying this? Your story seems to be changing.
