*The courtroom was ready, everyone in place, the numerous members of the Wizengamot seated in a semicircle around the defendants seat in the centre of the room. Rufus himself sat in the box directly in front of the seat. The box held six seats in two rows of three. Himself in the front and centre. Behind him were the Head of the Law Department - Edgar Ashwood, the Head of the Auror Office - Gawain Robards, and the Head of the Law Patrol - Pius Thicknesse. The Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot - Elphias Doge sat to his left and the Ministers Senior Secretary - Dolores Umbridge on his right. On the floor at a desk not too far away was the court scribe, in todays case Percy Weasley.*
*Scrimgeour rose to address the court.*
We are here today to carry out a fair trial in the name of justice in order to discover truth.
The accused is here on charges of attempted assassination of the Minister for Magic, at least one unauthorised use of the Unforgivable Imperius Curse, counts of assault and multiple accounts of fraud.
The defendant has asked that Lucius Malfoy speak on his behalf during the trial and we have allowed this according to wizarding law and in the interest of fair practice.
Bring in the accused.

*Arnie leads Heap into the room. In full sight of the court he uses a probity probe to double check that Heap is carrying nothing, then leads him to the seat in the centre of the room suggesting that he sit.*

::Dawlish was anticipating this particular courtcase. Having discussed the evidence against Heap with other aurors made him giddy. He knew that the Ministry would surely win today. Sitting in as a member of the Wizengamot, Dawlish sat as close as he could to the Minister of Magic. He was his bodyguard afterall.::
::Taking out some parchment and a quill, John followed the defendent, with his eyes, as the man took his seat in the middle of the room.::

*He was seated in his place amongst the Wizengamot, having tried to position himself near to the Ministers box. Just in case there were any promotional photographs or court portraits taken, he needed to be in sight for his own self-promotion. It was unlikely that he would say anything in this case though. He felt it was quite open and shut and he needn't get too involved.*

*Fudge was seated in the courtroom, in his full Wizengamot robes, waiting for the trial to begin*
*Casts a quick Cushioning Charm on the horribly uncomfortable courtroom bench, and settles down for a (hopefully) quick trial*

*He had not been looking forward to today. He hoped that his reputation was not at stake here.*

*Takes his seat in the corner for his court scribe position*
*Feeling important he gets out plenty of quills and ink and a long piece of parchment as he believes that this may be a long drawn out trial*
*Starts scribbling down the words spoken by the Minister.

*Griselda quietly enters the courtroom with a truckload of papers under her arm and sits down next to Percy.*
"Don't stress, Mr Weasley!"
*She pats his arm soothingly.*
"An overwiew will do nicely, darling."

Post by Rydiger von Heap on May 25, 2011 14:56:36 GMT
Heap was limping worse than he ever had done, he was barly able to stand, and the old man's face was covered in swet. His right arm was covered in a bloody bandages, as he had bitten himself to take the focus away from the pain in the leg and the produce adrinalin to ease it all. He managed to get through the room and fell clumsy down in the chair.
"Just..." Heap was finding it hard to even talk. He sounded out of breath, and it was difficult to hear what he said. "Just don't touch me..."

Oh for Merlin's sake. Can we get a healer in here to clean him up? Can't have him bleeding all over our chair...

*He sighed deeply, waved to short stubby medi-witch that sat at the end of the chamber*
Be quick about it. I think a nice review of procedures in the cells would be in order later.
